I've always had a fancy with Blood Angels, been fielding them for about 7 years now, but i resently started playing a Chaos marines force. I really like the diversity of Chaos, and also the sheer madness of playing them. Plus the models are great.
So the sick, evil and twisted new Blood Angels haven't seduced you back?

For me, it ahs to be the Space Wolves.

[HEADING=2]Lom...[/HEADING]

Oh sorry, it's 40k thread. But it dosen't matter, i still prefer Lombaxes.

Out of races that are actually in the setting, it's gotta be Imperial Guard. Maybe because they're sympathetic, maybe because they're not overdoing the whole "SKULLS AND SPIKES PAINTED BLACK" thing, maybe because they have kickass hats and even more kickass tanks.

I have to be boring and say Space Marines. I love the story and visuals of the marines. But as someone will probably whine and say they aren't a race i'm going to say Tyranids. The sooner we are all absorbed into the mass of the hive the better for all. All are equally expendable under the Hive Mind's rule. Long Live the Hive!!!

Well technically they're not a race, they're a species or sub/sup-species of human.

Like technically tyranids aren't a 'race', they're a collection of different Tyranid species into one faction.

Favourite Warhammer 40k Faction would be a more appropriate title for the thread, I think.

I'd like to see your face as my basilisk battery destroys your army from the other side of the board behind all of the terrain :p
Indirect fire=awesome:
As you can no doubt tell My favourite are the Imperial Guard. I just love the idea of thousands of guys given the worst weapons (some of the best tanks though) available in the galaxy and getting sent out to fight the nightmares from outer space, all of whom are better than them at everything.
They are just so dam human its hard not to love them.
Also, my 1500 point army has nearly 200 individual models in it

My favourite force are the adeptus astartes. But the coolest race is the Eldar. The entire setting is deep and well written though.

I've... been sorely tempted, i'll admit. Come on, deep-striking landraiders?

As I said in another tread "True heroes are armed with flashlight's"

For those of you who couldn't guess it's Imperial Guard.

"Hold Fast!"

"They're killing us!"

"So kill them back!"

Another vote for the greater good! However, it should be known that my opinions are entirely based off dawn of war + expansions.

I'd like to see that happen after my 40 Genestealers have outflanked on both sides, my Zoanthropes being spored down to kill your fancy yellow tanks, and who can forget the big ol' bug who has a gun that shoots crystallized venom.

So I going to have another go with Space Marines, which I have always believed are massively overpowered (because they beat me).
Space Marines are the easymode army. It's not that they're "overpowered", they're all quite good at everything, and they're quite tough, so they're a very forgiving army to play as.

It's hard for things to go catastrophically wrong for a Space Marine army.
Say that again when your Plasma Cannon falls back onto your Devastator squad.

Thats not the worst, Mephiston, obsence amounts of dreadnoughts (some with Jump Packs) and fast Vindicators, that's the worst.
Seriously, who thought fast vindicators were a good and balanced idea?
