the original GTA love that game from back when I was younger
That is one game that will never get old. How bad is it, though, that I still consider anything PS2 and beyond to be new-school?

Every once in awhile, I've got to whip out Final Fantasy II. That did many years as my favorite game. That was until FFVIII came out.

Yesterday I started playing Pokemon Crystal. I haven't started a new game since I was nine, but I've already put more than ten hours on it.

I started playing Goldeneye: Rogue Agent on the cube recently, because our 360 decided to kick the bucket.
The story and A.I. sucks assballs, but the game itself surprisingly refreshing. It's nice to take a (small) step back to simpler times.

Actually, I'm sorta glad our xbox is going to be gone for a while. I haven't taken either the Playstation or the N64 out in years.

Anyone remember Tomba?
Or what about [link'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2EDJbIyzpo"]Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee [/link]?

Ok, they're not the oldest games in the world, but these are the kinds of games I grew up on. They count as old for me :)

I treated myself with the Director's Cut of 'Broken Sword' for the Wii and the 'Sega Genesis Ultimate Collection'.
And I will come back to the very fist Gabriel Knight adventure. It's been so long I forgot how most of the puzzles work, but I could never forget the story.

Bought Mario 3, Link to the Past and Donkey Kong Country on the virtual console and I recently found my Ocarina of Time and might just wiz through that again!

Thinking of also getting back into Red Alert and Diablo 2.

XCOM: UFO defense and TFTD, the good old squad games...

Sad that the quality of the ones published today pales in comparison (even VS jagged alliance or whatnot)

Well, my wii recently broke, so I've been playing every single mega man on the mega man anniversary collection, including the shitty ones. Man, thems some good memories. I now have the protoman whistle as my text ringtone.

Joust on the Atari.

It gets a lot of play whenever I bust out the old Atari, partially because all of my controllers are screwed up and joust is really the only playable game due to it only needing left/right and the button. :p

*Looks over to old NES*

... Well, I've got my classics hooked up already. Maybe I'll play some Mario before football (soccer) practice.

I recently (it was a pain, believe me) reinstalled Might and Magic II on my PC. Man, thats some nostalgia.

I don't like people hating on "Current Gen" games and thinking about how "much better" games used to be. Yea there are always some classics, but 10 to 15 years from now we'll be in this forum talking about how Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed are so much better then games now.

Crazy Taxi, Soul Caliber and Virtua Tennis on ye olde Dreamcast. Gawds what a great machine that was.

Other than as indoor excersize for my wife and kids, the only reason I'm really wanting a Wii is for the virtual console and all the old NES titles.

That's probably the only reason I would ever really buy a wii, just so I could play all those old games without having to wipe off all those cobwebs on my NES.

Also Crazy Taxi was the shit back then!
