Was there any moment that stopped you in your tracks and forced you to look at your old withering form? Here I was minding my own business when I realized that there are people who use these forums now that are younger than the N64... holy shit, I couldn't wrap my head around this concept. It's easy to feel like time exists in a vacuum until things hit close to home like that. Gives perspective to the whole aging thing.

So yeah, I've been told 23's a good age but never really felt like I had aged at all in the last few years until just the other day. Has this happened to anyone of you?

Also, sorry if the whole "kids here are younger than the N64" thing caught any of you off-guard and triggered this phenomenon. I feel you bro.

... Oh, and The Matrix came out 13 years ago. Fuck.

^ All of those movies I grew up with and I'm 21!

Does this mean I have a mental age of about 35? ;p

All you have to do is feel young is talk about how old you feel while at the same time mentioning you're only 23, then someone like me will come along and say, "Quit yer whinin', youngster. I'm 29, I fuckin WISH I was 23 again."

Then someone else will come along and chastise me, since they fuckin WISH they could be 29 again instead of 36 or whatever.

But still, 23? You're still plenty young.

Well I wouldn't say I feel like a decrepit corpse, but I don't really feel like I can be clumped in with the youth anymore. I guess they invented the word "young adult" for a reason. When I see a birth date of "1998" in someone's profile it makes me realize that I am discussing something with someone that has roughly half of the lifetime experience I do, and that.... it's weird... I don't know!

I think my brain's reaching it's final stages of growth. 2 years to go and I can rent a car! >.>

Toy Story was released seventeen years ago. Yeah.

I've had a copy of Pokemon Red for a month shy of fourteen years. Yeah. A small plastic brick that I own (and still works perfectly, I should mention) is as old as some of the people using these forums.

Also, the physical copies of Final Fantasy VII-IX.

And when I realize that I saw episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The Next Generation while they were originally airing on television. Though I guess that can't hold a candle to the people who can remember seeing TOS when it originally aired.

Things that make me feel old...

Elijah Wood is now 30, he was 18 when he was in The Lord of the Rings.

Family Guy has been on TV for 12 years.

There hasn't been a new "Goosebumps" book in 14 years.

I knew I was old when it hurt to sit/lay on the floor for more than a couple minutes. I swear something happens around 25 or so where all of a sudden the ground is so much further away and so much harder than it used to be. That and you grunt, groan, crackle and pop getting up and down.

I refuse to believe your lies.

There is no way this kid is 30.

It's probably a good idea. I need to get a lot more exercise to maintain a non-abysmal physique. Oh the days of eating candy and junk food and being super thin, how I miss you! T_T

Oh lord I turn 26 in October.

I had recently feel old when I rediscover the sweet "Chewing nuts" (a hard but chewing small toffee cover in chocolate) well finally found a place that sold them (they are only sold in those old fashion sweet shore in the UK). I remembder the last time I've bought those was during my High School years and that was several years ago.

I have an awesome metabolism but it started slowing down during the latter half of college. If I don't start doing something I am going to turn into a fatty D:
