I am more of a lurker, nor do I go on here often.
My band is getting together. I have two guitarist, one drummer and myself as a keyboard player. This is my first time playing with one of the guitarists, I have played with the other two.
We are getting together because of an idea sprung by me when me and the drummer were getting together. It all started while we were listening to Radiohead-Creep and figured out the first four bar chord progression. It is a rather noticeable progression and would be hard to miss to most people that have heard the song. I only heard it for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
Now it is break and we are free to frolic and get together and make the musics happen. Everybody besides me in the group is more into progressive rock, I am a jazz musician and a music teacher. It is an interesting mix, so now you may ask yourself "Why is such a brouhaha of muscianship coming together?" Why, because of me!
I took apart the first part of creep and now have it written out, everything is transcribed into separate parts.
The reason for this is as such: We want to do creep in as many genres as possible. We have a fair amount of instruments together and can do many genres, but we need MOAR.
Now I ask my fellow Escapists, will you help me by recommending genres to play it in? We can do multitracking, and this will probably go on Youtube if you're interested. I don't care how rediculouse, even if it means playing in a latin feel.
