I am more of a lurker, nor do I go on here often.

My band is getting together. I have two guitarist, one drummer and myself as a keyboard player. This is my first time playing with one of the guitarists, I have played with the other two.

We are getting together because of an idea sprung by me when me and the drummer were getting together. It all started while we were listening to Radiohead-Creep and figured out the first four bar chord progression. It is a rather noticeable progression and would be hard to miss to most people that have heard the song. I only heard it for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

Now it is break and we are free to frolic and get together and make the musics happen. Everybody besides me in the group is more into progressive rock, I am a jazz musician and a music teacher. It is an interesting mix, so now you may ask yourself "Why is such a brouhaha of muscianship coming together?" Why, because of me!

I took apart the first part of creep and now have it written out, everything is transcribed into separate parts.

The reason for this is as such: We want to do creep in as many genres as possible. We have a fair amount of instruments together and can do many genres, but we need MOAR.

Now I ask my fellow Escapists, will you help me by recommending genres to play it in? We can do multitracking, and this will probably go on Youtube if you're interested. I don't care how rediculouse, even if it means playing in a latin feel.

I'd like to see you take Creep in a Mars Volta direction with an exotic feel(a darker Phrygian mode perhaps?) and then put some absolutely filthy dubstep in the mix.

Do that and you have my heart.

Try and go the Symphonic Metal route. You know with violins and orchestral like scores and such.
I am not quite sure I understand what you are saying. Could you elaborate? I already have an idea for an orchestra arrangement in my head.

I think you've kind of missed the boat a little on this one.

And this isn't even all of the ones I could find. I think if you were going to attempt something like this, you should pick a song that hasn't already been covered by every man and his dog in a ton of styles already.

I think he means to give it an orchestral feel. Y'know, strings and such?

This song incorporates it. Get it now?

My band was at one point going to be a metal band that covered only Radiohead songs. Potential band names included RadioHeadBang and Kid Drop A.

Sure can mein freund. In fact i'll provide video examples using the Finnish group Nightwish.

I think that should do but any further i'll be happy to try and provide an example.
