Who is off to any music festivals this summer? What acts are you excited for? Who couldn't you care less about seeing? If anyone is going to Download festival in Donington this friday I'll see you there :)

OT: I can't wait to catch letlive, The Darkness, AlterBridge, Down, Skindred, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Kvelertak, Pendulum and SOAD @ download. On the other hand I'm still annoyed Def Leppard are headlining on Friday :/ Seriously, who wanted that announcement?

Edit: Concerts too!

Would've been nice to go to Download but the line up this year wasn't in my favor, 2009 would've been the best for me. But still, I live right down in the south east, the the closest festival to me would be the Hevy Festival. It's a lot smaller scale and the bands arn't as big, but still pretty good. Same problem as well this year, not a huge fan of the line up. Last year headliners were Gallows and Sepultura

I am super pissed that i'm not going to any festivals this year. I love going to them but alas the lack of funds has caught me out.

To anyone going to a festival, have an awesome time you lucky bastards *is jealous*

Probably going to Warped Tour. Pumped for August Burns Red and A Day to Remember. the rest of the bands are also pretty good. doubtful going to mayhem and wanna go to lollapalooza. I gotta say that the European tours/festivals seem to kick the shit outta whatever we get here in America, at least for metal fans.

Going to Sonisphere UK, and Download, and High Voltage!

YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!
To be honest I'm not that excited for Download's headliners, but the rest of the lineup is awesome. I think soni looks a bit better though, any festival with the Big FOUR, The Mars Volta, Gallows, Mastodon and Black Spiders is too awesome for words.

As usual it's a busy time for me. Starts tomorrow actually as i go on a trip to Leipzig, Germany for Wave Gotik Treffen for a lovely 4 days of gothic/industrial/ebm party, and then again visitng Germany in july, this time Köln for Amphi festival between 16-17th, then i take a brief break from Germany to visit my local Castle Party festival (Bolkow, Poland) between 21-24th july to return to Germany for M'era Luna in august between 13-14th in Hildesheim.

Year after year, i do this trip and i still enjoy it.

Haven't been to any festivals in five years now, so I'm going to make up for that with a biggy: Wacken Open Air, the biggest annual metal festival in Germany.

They pretty much all are. And WGT is having it's 20 anniversary this year, CastleParty 16th, M'era Luna started in 2000 iirc and Amphi is the youngest of the bunch just having it's 6th anniversary. Stop living under that rock!

Went to this festival last week it was decent. Had to wait 40 minutes in line just to get inside. And once we were inside it was very crowded. Random drunk people blocking hallways did not help at all. It took me 30 minutes to walk from the Dubstep area to the bar since the hallways are just so darn small and everything was very crowded.

The music was pretty good though I loved the Dubstep but the DnB was a huge letdown for me. It just didnt sound as great as I thought it would.

My brother tried getting me to go to Creamfields, I think he forgot I'm into rock and metal, and dance or whatever the genre creamfields is, all the line up usually consists of DJ X, DJ Y and DJ Z

Hopefully will be going to the sunday of Reading Festival. Muse and Enter Shikari on the same stage.
4th time seeing Shikari, 1st for Muse.

I WISH I was going to Glastonbury though as well: Pendulum and Biffy....

This'll be the first year for a while that I'm not going to Download. The line-up is so close to being enough for me to get a ticket, but it's just missing something. There are quite a few bands that I really want to see, but I can't justify buying a ticket for them, especially since I've just finished university and really need to get a job. Hopefully next year I'll both be able to afford a ticket, and the line-up will make me want to

Probably Warped Tour (if that counts), MayhemFest, and I'm gonna try to make it down to Lollapalooza. Also I'm gonna try for a Black Keys concert this year too, dunno about that though.

Question: Does anybody know if there's like a guide/list to festivals? Cause I'd like to check out some more this year

Might head down to Indiependence again, if ASIWYFA and Adabesi Shank don't end up playing in my hometown. My mind hasn't been made up, though. Excellent turnout from The Richter Collective, as well as an appearance from Scroobius Pip. But it's over a hundred currencies for the ticket, travel and mind-altering essentials, and I hate spending money. Hmph.

The Reading line-up is pretty sweet, but unfortunately I can't afford it, as I'm going to the Edinburgh Fringe (does that count as a festival in this sense?), which is utterly fantastic.

Sonisphere UK.. Aww yeah!
And a local festival called LimeTree.
That's it.
I would have loved to go to Download and Leeds as well, but lack of funding and exams have prevented me from doing so.
