Few months later I still dislike the *new* escapist layout

I have had forgotten,i don't mind anymore. At first i was less of a fan, but well i have come to like it.

No it's still pretty horrible. On top of looking like stuff is just put where ever they can find room for it on the main page this site is absolutely the slowest site that I visit on a regular basis. Some times through the week it's absolutely unusable due to being unable which I assume is because it's unable to handle the amount of hits.

I really hope they didn't pay someone for the redesign and if they did pay someone that person should be returning every last penny and apologizing.

It's very ugly, but the worst part for me is the placement of the videos: They used to all be in a simple column on the page. Awesome. It used to be easily visible what the new episode of every show was. Even better.

Now all they have is that shitty dropbox and that scrolling thing. I almost always use the scrolling thing because you can at least see what the latest episode is. But the thing is such a ***** to navigate. It keeps switching to the video on the right when I want to go to the video on the left. Frustrating pice of...

Anyway, the site is also a lot slower, and, although it hasn't happened the last two weeks, Wednesdays tend to get the site to crash because of Zero Punctuation.

I don't absolutely hate it any more, but I don't use the website as intuitively as I did the old one. For example, I pretty much ignore all the front page and go down to the Latest Updates feed where I can see every feature posted in date order. This is good. What's bad is that it only shows five stories at a time. Bad design. And yes the unequally spaced stories still look shitty.

I do not like this layout since its so bright, two of my screens is just screaming white at me.

The browsing options let you change from the white to darker colours.

Nope, still ugly. If only they made the mechanics of the site work better instead of bothering with a terrible design...

The Tech Team are working to make the site better. You must have noticed that last Wednesday went pretty well during the ZP rush?

They let me decide between white and something a bit less white. Still screams brightness at me.

And piss yellow. Don't forget the "natural" option! I would love it if they added a "classic" option that turned the background blue like it used to be. Or make that natural, because, seriously, why the fuck did they choose piss yellow?!

I would be really happy if they gave me the option of turning it black or blue or whatever as long as its not something close to white.
