My favorite of those 3 is Journey, but Fez is brilliant, too. I don't know about Trials, because I've never played HD or Evolution.

Really, it depends on what you're looking for. Journey is a short experience that you won't ever forget. I've played it several times through, and each time it moves me a ridiculous amount.

Fez is also a fantastic game. It is much longer than Journey, and requires a LOT more brainpower. Many of the puzzles are ridiculously hard, but that makes them also ridiculously rewarding to figure out.

I'll start by saying that I haven't had a chance to play either FEZ or Trials Evo yet. What I can say, however, is that Journey is a piece of brilliance. It's short (like a couple hours or so), but it is the literal depiction of 'art game'. Not a single word is said in the game and you generally have no clue as to what the overall 'story' is. All you know, as you go sliding through sand-covered cities and climbing mountains, is that it's your journey.

By the end, I was choked up and had a few tears going on. That doesn't happen often AT ALL for me. It's a blend between the colorful art style and the amazing orchestral score that is in every minute of the game. It just has this charm about it that keeps you going and moves you.

If you've only got twenty bucks to kick around then I'd suggest getting some decent time out of the experience. Journey is quite simply brilliant, don't get me wrong, but I believe you'll get more out of FEZ. Bang for your buck and whatnot.

FEZ is actually quite a fun little game.

I shall risk the wrath of Clarion and say get FEZ. Don't get me wrong, Journey is great, but it's hardly the most gripping experience that will keep you coming back time and time again.

You there.

You've been warned.

Buy Journey, play it, then come back and beg my forgiveness for not already playing it.

Well, now that I caught this thread in the sidebar thing, I now have to go play Journey again.

I haven't played the other two, but I will say that if you invest any slight emotion into your gaming experience, Journey will strike a chord with you. It's the kind of game that you can't really explain why it's good, you just have to experience it. If you ever played fl0w, it's by the same guys. I'd even say it continues to use the flow principle; time melts away in Journey.

As for complaints about its length, I've replayed it a good dozen times by now. It's the kind of game you won't play once then forget about. You'll be picking it up again and again for years.

Fez is pretty fun, if something of a one trick pony.

Haven't played Trials. No comment.

Journey is excellent. Buy it.

Never heard of FEZ, Trials seems fun (a graphically better version of Evolution or whatever as released a few years ago), but Journey is great. Possibly one of the most emotionally evoking games I've ever played. But in the end, it's your money, so your choice.

No love for Trials here? The level editor lets you create even an FPS game out of it, I think Trials will be the one providing the most replay value out of those 3. Journey is a good buy too although its the total opposite of Trials, short replay value but for what you play its quite of a powerfull experience.

Well.....

Since EVERYONE feels the NEED to always have a High Art game that its actually fun in their libraries, i will say Journey.

However, if you trully believe in free will and not in the pressure of the masses, then pick the one you like and let the world judge the art bullshit themselves. Unless you believe that the world is too stupid to even decide to wear pants.
