monster: Well the mumakils in The Return Of the Kings, (can't think of something else

Actor: Tom Hanks, can play so many parts, and is so down-to-earth
Actress: Cate Blanchett-incredibly convincing considering how young she's been in some of the major parts she's played
Scene: The lobby battle in 'The Matrix'-amazing action
Director: Edgar Wright, a fantastic young director with innovative, fresh ideas
Hero: Forrest Gump
Villain: Gollum
Monster: Any zombie/infected thing, especially those crows from RE3-that would be bloody scary

Film: Seven Samurai
Actor: Ian McKellan
Actress: Helen Mirren
Scene: The final scene in Kurosawa's Ran where the camera looks up from the procession of soldiers carrying the dead king's body and, in a slow procession of cuts, closes in on the blind prince, standing abandoned on the cliff. The scene hit me like an arrow to the chest.
Director: Akira Kurosawa.
Monsters: The Alien Queen
Villain: Tilda Swinton's lawyer character, Karen Crowder, in Michael Clayton
Hero: a tie between Aragorn (LOTR) and Ripley (Aliens)
