This by a wide margin the books are cool and all but I don't really find them all that special.stefanbertramlee said:Lord of the Rings.
Have to disagree with you there, yes, the film is excellent, but i read the novel a couple of years after the film came out, and i was blown away with it.GigaHz said:Jurassic Park.
The first one at least.
I like reading Crichton's novels but Spielberg bringing the novel to life definitely had a "WOW" factor to it, unmatched by other films of its time.
Well then maybe it's my childhood bias speaking in favour of the movie. Plus, the theme for Jurassic park is timeless. One of my favourite movie themes to date.Jace1709 said:Have to disagree with you there, yes, the film is excellent, but i read the novel a couple of years after the film came out, and i was blown away with it.
I'm surprised childhood bias doesn't apply to me to be honest, i was only 10 or 11 when i saw JP (new at the Cinema), plus it was the first film i ever saw on the big screen. But there's just something about the book that puts far above it, even considering all that.GigaHz said:Well then maybe it's my childhood bias speaking in favour of the movie. I thought the novel was excellent when I finally read it but if given a choice, I would watch the movie once more.
