Films/Books/TV Series etc. that could make good games

I want a Starship Troopers game based on the novel. 50% shooting aliens, 50% taking classes on history and moral philosophy.

I thought I'd never see the day me being ninja'd by someone else by Starship Troopers. I love you man! Although people will probably complain about Heinlein's political and social viewpoints, this could be chance for the video-game industry to further grow and develop.

Personally, I'd play the hell out of it. But until my dream is achieved, I'll have to play the Front Mission or Armoured Core games.

Battle Royale. Recreate the raw sense of constant danger present in Fallout 3, but pair the enemies down from full tribes of raiders to a handful (10 or 12) kids with guns. Make the game only last about 3 or 4 Fallout days, random weapon on start, lots of downtime, and make that typewriter sound become the new spotting of a Deathclaw. That would be intense.

Or "The Legend Of Drizzt", D&D game with story.

Marsden's 'Tomorrow' novel series. It would be difficult to do properly but real geurilla warfare game with only the resources of civilians against an overwhelming invading force would be a blast. Making decisions about what strategic targets to destroy and how to go about this, running and hiding over open combat - small scale warfare, that sort of thing.

Developers seem too hesitant to do something like this. Probably because they may feel a war game without open combat would be too boring - or possibly because gaming nay-sayers would label it as a terrorist training tool - but I would love a game like that and basing it on Marsden's 'Tomorrow' series is as good an option as any.

Never saw the movie version of the first book, should probably do that. Heard it was pretty average though.

A Sonic game based on SatAM, but with characters from the Archie comic as well as Manic, Sonia, and Queen Aleena. And Nazo, Metal Amy, Tails Doll, and Ashura, if we're lucky.

Why this doesn't exist yet is beyond me. And almost nothing is beyond me. Hm.

But if does happen, Eggman better f*cking be Eggman.

For the Star Wars EU nerds, I want a flight simulator game based on the X-Wing series. Star Wars has already proven that the can make good flight simulator games, seriously this needs to be done.

EDIT: Oh, and I hope I don't get flamed for this but I really want a Harry Potter MMO.
