I really liked the first Starship Troopers movie even if it had fuck all to do with the book. But I was not a fan of No Country For Old Men. It was not a bad movie but it was to full of itself with philisophical dialouges and bad 1920's haircuts.
I actually thought i was the only one who didnt enjoy this film! It started off great then just went god awful half way through. People have told me to go read the book and I would understand it but to be put quite simply I watched the film so i didnt have to.

Yeah I liked it too but then Josh Brolin died and Javier Bardem went missing so all we were left with was Tommy Lee Jones and his faithful deputy Opie.

Critics apparently hated Brotherhood of the Wolf, and reviews of Se7en are strangely mixed. This confuses me, since I love both movies. The martial arts alone in Brotherhood of the Wolf is worth whatever the disc costs now (almost nothing), and the story is very competent, combining different film genres very well.

And Se7en is, well, Se7en. Telling me Se7en is a bad movie is like telling most people that The Godfather sucks.

And then there's Gattaca, which people liked but very few actually saw. Same for ExistenZ. It was unfortunately released at the same time as The Matrix, and so was overshadowed (despite being a far better movie and particularly relevant to gamers.)

They hated Underworld.

I loved it.
I thought Underworld was a terrible film admittedly... Although I agree, Doom was a decent film, and Death Race was great too (although the original is better). Actually most Jason Statham films are basically awesome sauce, even though a lot get panned by critics...

I never read any reviews but I went to see "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" with all my friends and they all came out saying that it was ones of the best movies ever. It made me doubt whether I was right or wrong with my reaction, "What the f**k was that?"
Revenge of the Sith was better than the episode that followed it.
Do you mean the first Star Wars film? Or do you mean The Clone Wars?

Either way I disagree :D.
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenge_of_the_Sith
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_(1977)

III = 3, IV = 4 in Roman numerals.

Yea i have to admit i dont understand the hate with the star wars prequels. I personally enjoyed them, hardly worth all the fuss they were getting but i guess they just appealed to me when i was that age. Ah well
Also Death Race is fantastic. But that might be slightly biased as I pretty much think anything with Jason Stathom in it is worth watching lol

I am one of the only few (maybe the only, I can't really remember) that totally hated and didn't see the point in No Country for Old Men, I mean the only highlight was the amount of violence and even then it was medicore. It won Oscars too and I just can't stand it

Angels and Demons got positive reviews all round even from the bloody VATICAN CITY!!
however i thought it was complete rubbish, it was nothing like the book and wasn't even that good a movie.

The only review for the movie Stealth that I read gave it a low score, but I quite enjoyed it.

Not sure about actual critics, but LOTS of people hated Transformers.

I loved it. Yeah, there may have been a lot of useless exposition, but it was the first movie, all of the first movies of series take half a movie to get good, and once it got good, it was really good.
who hated transformers? i actually haven't found anyone who has seen that film and disliked it. Can't wait for the second one. Its giant fighting robots what is there not to like?

I also prefer the first three Star Wars films to the old one. Just because they're the 'original', doesn't make them better. xD
It's so painful to watch Darth Vadar and Ben Kenobi stand still whilst fighting, then for some reason Kenobi just vanishes. I was so confused as to when the awesomeness was gunna kick in!
I also wasn't a fan of Dark Knight. Heath Ledger's performance wasn't THAT good! I'd take Iron Man any day! ;]

I would say "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is one of those films that got critical acclimation and I just fucking couldn't stand.

And this coming from someone who has seen "Kung Fu Hustle" countless times.

Just about anything, critics are stupid. They never like anything, any film that isn't Godfather standard is totally panned.

A film everyone hated and I loved... it has to be Catwoman. Well, perhaps not loved, but I really enjoyed it. Oooh, and Wolverine was amazing :p

I never EVER got why so many people love E.T, or quite a few other Steven Spielberg films. Not for me, I think.

Really? Out of curiosity, where do you come from? It's just everybody who I new who went to see the films loved them. I'm not saying the originals were masterpieces but they didn't have the gaping plotholes, pointless characters (and was I the only one who got the impression they were making it up as the went along?).

Anyways, another movie I didn't like was Return of the King. I think I was the only one that thought Fellowship of the Ring was the best out of the Lord of the Rings films, at least at my school I was.
Not fuss from critics but more like TV adverts playing every single hour of every single day and at the time all of my friends were calling me lame for not wanting to see them. How wrong they were. I'm not saying they were fantastic but for someone who was young they were quite good coz you werent really looking for that much depth. More...erm... bright colours! =D
And I was the opposite lol. I loved Return of the King but didn't particularly enjoy the first one as it was so damn hard to follow!
