A Donnie Darko Sandbox game where you explore all the craziness that happened in the movie, but more at your own pace (and more bizarre happenings too.)
I think a game that took the tangent universe and living receiver concepts of the Donnie Darko movie could be really original, interesting and a lot of fun to play. But you only need to see S Darko to know how badly they could screw it all up too.

OT: I agree with Postal.
Man, it would make a good game.
Especially as a sandbox game.

Make it a sandbox FPS with very limited ammo and only a few usable weapons, focus it on survival/stealth with a few drops of vehicular homicide and you've got an awesome game that's also true to the movie.

it wouldn't be an amazing game but i could see 'Doomsday' as a game. And it's not a movie but a game set in the 'Edge Chronicles' universe.

The problem with 28 days later is that it would be very hard make it different from Left 4 Dead because once a good game is made e.g left 4,dead a lot of zombie games after that will be the same.take cod4 or modern warfare 2,there were loads of games after them where my friends would say "this is just like Call of Duty".
the infected would be much more rare but a lot more lethal, and the focus would often be on completing other goals and scavenging than 'a horde turns up you gun them down, rinse, repeat' formula of l4d

If it were the opposite way, then Fallout.
Come on, you know you want it!!!!!

But considering it's films ==> games, then maybe Full Metal Jacket.
Jesus Christ would it be bloody. Michael Atkinson would spontaneously combust out of anti-gaming ideas.

A Fightclub game would be cool. Lots of bareknuckle boxing and terrorizing the neighboorhood before you find out your completly wonkers and blow up banks and Creditcard companies!

O yes, i think i struck gold!

I would love to see a game based on 300. The only problem is that there's only one main setting where they fight in the movie to hold off the other army, but I'm sure some of the game could take place before that, maybe.
300 is a game. On the PSP and it's pretty crap.

A sandbox 'Avatar' game, explore Pandora to your hearts content.

I havent really seen much movies and thought "Damn I should be playing this" but i have felt that about books before, wanting them to be movies and games... but it wont happen :(
I'd have loved it if the Avatar game was like that.

I know this is something that people either wouldn't know or wouldn't like but I would love to play a "Repo! The Genetic Opera!" game if it played like Arkham Asylum and I got to repo people in the process.

ALSO: Inglorious Bastards. Why has this not been said?

How about Boondock Saints. You could find evidence and figure out how the scene went down... then play the gunfight as the brothers.

while most film-to-game conversions suck, there have been several films I have seen that would make incredible games, such as 28 days later or the good, the bad and the ugly. have you ever seen a film and thought "damn, I should be playing this"?
Gamer, the movie, the game!

Not really, just thought I'd mention it.

Death Race The Game (based off the recent movie)

I'd be more likely to play a racing game if I could also ram RPGs and a Mini-gun up the tailpipe of the guy who just passed me.

An Equilibrium game would also be pretty awesome, the problem is that I can't think of how you could incorporate complex gun-kata that is controlled by a single controller...

The best i can think of would be Die Hard.

But it would probably end up as a Half-Life clone, just without goatee.
