films that would make awsome games

Films rarely make decent games. They rely on the film's name to make it sell, and then make it as quickly and cheaply as possible to maximise profits. The exceptions could be films of games, of films, like the new PoP game.

The gladiator MMORPG

That's kinda genius, although it'd probably work just as well just being based on gladiators in general as on the movie in specific.

My suggestion:
Amelie, the sandbox adventure game. Quirky fetch quests and mystery solving around Paris.

The best i can think of would be Die Hard.

But it would probably end up as a Half-Life clone, just without goatee.

There was a / some Die Hard game/s awhile ago actually.


Memento, that might make a nice game perhaps.

If I thought they could do them Justice? The Fifth Element or Serenity.Maybe even Fracture made sort of like Heavy Rain.

A Happy Gilmore golf game really should have happened, I say.

I Am Legend too, because I've always craved a game that would advise players not to travel in dark places or at night.

A Donnie Darko Sandbox game where you explore all the craziness that happened in the movie, but more at your own pace (and more bizarre happenings too.)

That's like my idea for a Fear & Loathing game: a kind of sandbox puzzler type game.

I think they should try and make games for all the great stoner movies: Up in Smoke, The Big Lebowski, Grandma's Boy.

And every time I think they should've made a game for Crank (or Crank 2) I think that Crank itself was just Holywood making a movie of GTA.

28 days later would be a great idea! I think it should be more about running for your life rather than fighting all the time. the cool thing about it would be to stop repitition the variety would have to come from the environment...

And it'd be sweet to recreate that chase in 28 weeks later with the flamethrowers and the gas bombs
