Good thread...!

I have 2:

1) One was a film where 4 people at the start die, and they come back as ghosts that only a newborn baby can see... I remember a funny scene where the baby is being entertained by the ghosts and laughing, but to the parents it looks like the baby is laughing at a blank wall...
Then as the kid grows up, the ghosts are his freind, but then something happens and they leave him... Cut to adulthood, and the ghost return to help him with his job... That's all I remember, any ideas?
That is called Heart and Souls my old chum. It's got RDJ in it.
At least I think that's the one.

I once saw an animated film while on a bus headed for Croatia. It was about a wash-up guy who was about to be sent into prison, but is given one last chance to sort himself out by being mentored by an elderly fellow (who himself is out to win an award, though I forget what for).

The movie involves a lot of basket as well. It was a quite touching film (to my 12-13 year old self at least), would really like know what its name was.
Would it perhaps be 8 Crazy Nights with Adam Sandler?

That would be "8 crazy nights" starting Adam Sandler. As cheesy as it is, I quite liked it.

Edit - DAMMIT...

Sorry, can't help with any of the others.
Yeah, that's Flight of the Navigator for sure, I must've watched that movie about a billion times as a kid. :D

I'll add to the others and confirm the OP is talking about Deep Rising. Classic B movie stuff. It's the movie the guy who directed The Mummy did before he did The Mummy. Full of knowing cliches and over-the-top bullshit but that's what makes it a classic B movie. A poor man's Big Trouble in Little China (which is actually just a B-movie too). Or Escape from New York. Another old school B-movie. The Mummy's not a bad B-movie either. But somehow it went on to be considered A movie with 2 sequels. His latest B movie was G.I. Joe.

I saw this movie as a kid, and have wondered what it was ever since.

In it a guy moved in with his mom, (I think it might have been because he got divorced, but not sure).
And her house was a somekind of safe house for women, there was a male-to-female transexual there, as well as some women who cut off their tongues as a sign of solidarity for some woman who had had her tongue cut off by some kidnappers as a child.
Except one of the women was actually faking it and she had her tongue, and at one point the main character met a mute woman who was the original girl who had had the tongue cut off.
I think she helped him escape some place.
Also the main character (I think it was him) caught his girlfriend(?) cheating with some guy in a car and bit his penis off.

It was a fascinating movie for me as a kid. I'm not sure how old I was, but since it was in English and I could read the subtitles I must have been over 6, but probably not much older.
The World According to Garp. A Robin Williams movie. Very surreal and pretty darn good.

EDIT: Ninja'd like few have been ninja'd before :(

Two films.

The first was a live action TV series of sorts for kids. It was made around the time of VR Troopers, Power Rangers, and Super Samurai Squad. Basically it took place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where these soldiers of sorts could go into a brief Power Rangeresque transformation into full body suits of armor that looked like futuristic swat gear/power armour (it would disappear after losing too much power. The main bad guy was a fat cyborg that used an early CGI flying robot that looked like a human crashed into and eagle and a bat to track down whoever the good guys were. It would then use a weapon mounted on its arm to digitise them or something so that they were broken down and sucked into it. That is all I remember.

Lastly a movie that was like some sort of romance film. I cannot remember much of it but the ending had the male love interest ride his motorcycle into his girlfriends school, proclaim his love for her before she jumps on, they ride out, and her brother or something pumps his fist into the air and shouts "YES!".

I had an eidetic memory as a child and yet these films elude it. I want to know what they are. A bakery in my grandparents village had a large selection of movies from the late 70s to the late 90s to rent and I often did so whenever I went there and these two were once on the menu.

I've never actually finished watching the film, but I really want to see it.

It's about this guy who's a brilliant physisist, and plans to ask his girlfriend to marry him. But then they get robbed and she gets shot. The next years the guy goes to invent a timemachine (yeah, just roll with it) and he goes back in time to save her from her death. But then she gets hit by a cart, and he realises that she was supposed to die. Then he goes further and further into the future to see why exactly she had to die. He jumps to a future where the moon is being colonised, the moon's starting to collapse because all the drilling and another one where there's this museum guy. Then he gets knocked out while being in his machine, and millions of years pass, and he finds himself in some kind of tribal-looking place.

There's where I stopped seeing it. It was quite a while ago, but if someone could help me, that'd be awesome.

It was only now looking that film up on IMDb and I've just realised that the lass I had a crush on for years was a 20 year old Sarah Jessica Parker.

I really wish I hadn't found that out.

I miss Vergin Megastores... it was nice having a decent alternative to HMV! :/

Oh well, such is the result of internet sales and downloads!

Actually the first "adult" anime I ever saw, was Perfect Blue. I watched the ending of it when I was about 8-9 and I was so freaked out. (Ah the innocent me, so naive) I only found out last week that it was THAT movie.

Hmm, I remember seeing only a part of a movie where, a large and creepy looking bald guy, frankensteins himself a girlfriend with old body parts. (I'm not sure if she is totally from scratch or a dead lover, but anyway) He sews her together and when she is brought back to life, she can't stand what she has become. So she sets herself on fire and jumps off of a tower. Where upon he, not being able to cope without her, happily commits suicide via viking funeral, on a burning boat. I only ever saw these scenes of it, but it was enough to grab my attention.
That might be Mary Shelleys Frankenstein by Kenneth Branagh with Robert De Niro as the monster (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109836/).

I saw a movie when I was younger about some geneticly altered baboons that were hostile, i remember one part there were some people who were in a plane crash around a campfire and they get attacked by the baboons, but get saved by some guys, and another part where they were running (the baboons) on this long tin roofed building while some guy talked into a loud speeker, this must have been like 1997-1999 it was also set in like a jungle/forest area.
