Final Fantasy 13 is notthing more than a shame-less grave robber. I mean being a fan of the series I can tell as well as many you could tell as well that there is nothing new in this new istallment to this series. It is the bastard child/demon that should not been born (seriously!!!).

Let's break it down shall we: final fantasy 12 & FFX it took the summon system in terms of allowing the said summons to stay in battle longer for FF12 it was the worst partof the game for me it just didn't work....

FF12(again) they took the gambit system and really made it just flat out none playable (an improvement) but still inconvinient.

No limitbreaks, no overdrives, so nothing to appreciate the characters for..... >_>

The leadish character female: "Lighthing"(lame name) is just a blended smoothie of the female characters of X-2 with a table spoon or two of Auron & Cloud's seriousnessin the mix.

Vanille is by far the biggest retard ever in a series like this; I mean she reminds me of Cheese from fosters home for imaginary friends (really!). All you have to imagine is LIKE the biggest most serious moment in the game like the dead of a character and then imagine Her busting out saying: I POOTED. I bet that all the characters would look at her like WTF and maybe smack her silly (really!!!!).

And to end WHAT HAPPENDED TO ALEXANDER? I MEan in this game he became a living Chess piece that is... >__<!!!!

ANy way I think that it has been the worst 60 bucks I spended ever... But What I want to ask you is: Do you actually like this game? What you think this game stole and from which Final Fantasy? And Whether the designer of this game should be flail and toss out on a deserted to die? I dont know What YOU Think??

Have you actually read your argument here? You're mad at a game for using pre-existing characters and game mechanics? I would understand if these characters weren't from the same series and the same creators.
Seriously, before you say it has brought nothing new to the Final Fantasy table, play one battle in 13, then one in any previous game. Notice the difference?

P.S I really hope you're just trolling

Final Sephiroth didn't have wings. One would have thought with your avatar you'd have known that.

Well, for one, the characters, with possible exception to Vanille, all act human. For example, while some may get angry, or whiny, there never constantly this or that. Take Cloud in AC, always depressed 100% of the time. And the game mechanics allow customization while keeping all the characters unique, something XII completely screwed up by making everyone a carbon copy of everyone else save for maybe a few very, very minor status differences. Oh, and the battle system itself is nice, allowing fairly fast paced combos, while paradigms allow for deep strategy. And lastly, the story is very good, I thought, and I like how everyone hates each other at some point. You know, like real pepole.

And, on the other hand, it took from the older games the parts most people enjoyed and made a coherent game out of it. For me, I enjoyed it. You can be all nostalgic and bash on what they did to your holy relics or just enjoy the new game for what it is.

...and the second to last boss in FFIX didn't have wings.

Your statement was incorrect. I pointed it out. If you're going to extend it to second-to-last bosses, then FFXIII has one as well. [http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100326040713/finalfantasy/images/a/a2/Orphan_1.png]

Also, Shuyin in FFX-2 didn't have wings last I checked.

all ff13 was trying to do was break away from the same *wait half an hour standing still before doing anything*system that all of the old ff games used and attempted to change it while also trying to keep fanboys like you from attacking it saying OMG ITNOT SAEM GAEM. the old games were great, but this day in age most gamers are add pill popping morons who won't play a game unless you wave a bunch of explosions and flying robots in their face.

Nah.. i still like it.

I actually like all the characters . From the start i only liked sazh, but they all grew on me.

As for the summons, i think Alexander is awesome. I would use him more, but i dont put Hope as my leader a lot. The old Alexander looks cool, but the gestalt mode of ff13 Alexander makes me wish lightning or Fang got him as a summon, so i could use him more. And yeah, i liked the look of the old bahamut a lot more, but his new mega flare looks better to me.

Personally it sounds like you would rather keep playing the same game over and over again with a slightly different story each time.

Also your grammar is bad. Good grammar is a great way to make people respect you more.

You know all final fantasy games have been built off the ones that came before them right?

It's kinda this trend that happens when it comes to a series of games. And when you have 13 instalments, theres more repetition.

Game One sets the basics.
Game Two comes along, takes those standards and adds something else into the mix.
Game Three does the same and adds even more, maybe a new combat twist.
Game Four comes along and after feedback on game three, it turns out that twist was a bad idea, it's removed..

See where I'm going here?

Even the stories are pretty same-y.

7 - Theres someone trying to destroy the world, only it turns out the someone you were chasing isnt him but clones.
8 - Theres someone trying to destroy the world, only it turns out shes being controlled by someone else from a different universe.
9 - Theres someone trying to destroy the world, only its someone from another universe, and he's working for someone else
10 - Theres something trying to destroy the world, only its actually someone inside the something thats trying to destroy the world.

(I will admit its been a few years but thats the vague jist of those games that I rememebr)

Yeah it's among one of my favourite FF. Don't know what you're talking about

I also think you completely miss the point of Vanille's character.

Using mechanics and characters from previous final fantasy games...in a final fantasy sequel! *Gasp* Those knaves!

On topic though, it's the first final fantasy game that I've enjoyed in a long time, and while it might not make my top 10 games of awesomeness, it was one of the most visually satisfying games I've played.

Personally I liked it, though I did hate Vanille. Also Alexander's design seems to change from game to game, in FFVIII he was a giant missile firing machine.

Sorry what? Yes, she's childish and carefree but not to such extremes. I don't know how much of the game you've played, but the extreme of Vanille's childishness is in the beginning of the game; she actually grows up a lot as the game goes on (as do most of the characters).

Sure, FFXIII doesn't do a whole lot that's new, but it takes things from the series' past and streamlines it. To illustrate my point: the sphere grid thing was really large and obnoxious, and so they refined it into something simpler.

Let me ask how much you played. The characters develop. Ever heard of that. Vanille later on turns out to be one of my favorite characters. She stops being stupid and just cheerful. She's in fact more deeper than most characters.

And if you watched the moment where Sazh almost killed himself, I don't think Vanille reacted by saying "I pooted". She added to the drama.

Lightning becomes better around 7 chapters in I think it is.

Oh, so you're saying that they shouldn't have active summons just because FFX invented it? Here's an idea, let's not have combat, because all the other games had it. And what, you want the Eidolons to look exactly like the aeons? And here I thought you wanted "innovation".

You only like the characters for their overdrives? Gee, how about their personalities? You may not like all of them, but that's your problem then. They are not there as soulless combat troops.

Would you rather play a game of "Final Fantasy: Let's sit and drink tea"? Final Fantasy has always been about saving the world, it's about epic tales. What else should it do? At least the stories have variety if you look at the details.

And thanks for the spoilers.

I'm not actually complaining about it, just pointing it out to the OP that this is how series of games work
