Final Fantasy 14 MMO (PS3 exclusive) PC on the way

As nice as the game sounds. Surely they could have waited for Final Fantasy 13 to be released first right?

Still for fans of FF11 it should be exciting news.

Definitely the biggest SONY news today.

The SONY conference overall was pretty good though. MSFT stole their thunder with the Natal I think.

Might actually give it a try, but im already looking forward to AION depends if its sub based or not and if its reasonable. Still I heard FF 14 eyes almost fell out my head then bloody online RAGE!

If as they say it is coming out in 2010 it may even Beat FF13 versus to market.

I wonder how they will handle expansions or if updates will be free like WoW. I'm not sure how they did it in FF11.

I don't know what feed played it live to you guys, but actually being in the crowd, it didn't look impressive. It looks old. And it seems rather rehashed.

Definitely not the biggest "SURPRISE" moment. I have to give it to The Last Guardian. That game was definitely more polished and sounded better.

Worst game trailer - Gran Turismo 5. The sound was utterly atrocious in the hall. The engine sounds and the somewhat blocky images were less than spectacular.

It makes sense for 13 and 14 to be developed at the same time, chances are they are sharing artwork (textures, models, etc) and fans of 11 have been waiting for a new FF MMO for like 5 years.

I do think they should have dropped the number and just called it Final fantasy: Whatever online.

It kinda sucks thats its PS3 only, understandable that its not on the 360 do to size, but a PC version would be nice.

Hopefully they learned from 11, not just the mistakes, but what makes it stand out from the world of warcraft clones. The last thing the genera needs is yet another WoW

FF11 did updates and expansions the same way wow did, the ps2 version came with a special hard drive ware it was installed and booted from, the 360 version required the harddrive and used the disk to boot off the installed version on the drive, expansions and updates installed on to the drive the same as wow does it

It was shown at a SONY conference, when PS3 games were being shown and it was made clear on the PS3 exclusitivity. This is not a PC game at all.

Quite true, the guy did say PS3 Exclusive. It'll probably port to the PC someday though.
