Hmm..well 7's story is rather different than 1-6's. A lot of 7's gameplay aspects and even story elements are heavily derived from 6. If you didn't like 6 (BLASPHEMY!!) which is the closest thing to 7 in some aspects then you might have a hard time with 7. Going in with a cynical attitude doesn't help either. But hey sometime you just gotta take some risks and dive right in because you might just end up liking something from a franchise or genre that never appealed to you. And like I said, $10 aint big money, hell with $10 for me it would be "hmm McD's or FF7...McD's or...ah screw it".

I started playing 6 again and am really enjoying it.
Nothin' like level grindin' at Sabin's house.

Yes all PS games bought on the store can be moved onto the PSP

I doubt it; the PAL PSN site always seems to miss out on awesome titles... like the original Spyro!

Has anyone checked?

I only have a NA PS3, so no clue. Can someone else vouch?

6, 7, 8, and 10 get all the attention. 4, 12, and 9 are well known. 1, 2, 3, and 5 seem to be left in the dust it seems. 11 is just special.

I haven't played too much of 4, but from gameplay footage, 4 looks to be miles better than 7.

I started playing 6 again and am really enjoying it.

It's exactly the same the original. So nothing new was added in.

DAMN! It's the graphics I can't stand. Everything else is great. Well, combat could be improved, but that's pretty standard for JRPGs.

This ISN'T on the PAL store, as usual. What's worse is that Silent Hill 1 has been TAKEN OFF the Aussie PSN and I can't BUY it to bide the time between now and when SCEE gets the pole stuck up their *ahem* and releases FFVII in the PAL territories on PSN!

I've HAD it with SCEE, at least Nintendo release MOST games that come out in America... Unless you mean Henry Hatsworth which I really wanted to play. *shakes fist*

I was on PSN last night; latest releases had no mention of Final Fantasy VII.

I'm going to get it so I can play it on the train to work FF7 is one my favourite games ever and I don't see why people can think its just 'average'. Still, I hate Ocarina of Time so I guess it evens out

8 is the loneliest number...of Final Fantasy games. Its the most hated on in the franchise, merely because it took a few risk, which ended up making it my favorite.

FFVIII is really complicated to get the hang of but it so amazing. I'm glad there is someone else who sees that. I'm not a big FF fan but I still rank 8 up there in my favorite RPGs. It's maybe fourth or fifth but it's still up there.
