Square Enix's board members must be suffering from PTSD from the recent decline in revenues. It's really annoying that they devote people to remaking games constantly but hardly ever produce new games anymore. It's fine that many fans will think the glory days are in the past. But as a company, they should be looking towards the future. I used to be pretty damn adamant about these guys being the best. Now, they are the bottom of the barrel. Their lack of innovation is one thing, I'm a fan of JRPG's myself, but to devote all these teams to remakes stinks of fear of the future. Also, I know it was only a matter of time but, FFX was probably the worst in the series for me. It was god awful boring. That is why I was so disappointed when the same team that developed this developed 13. That game was also pretty boring, though I trudged through it hoping it would get better. For me, FFVI (FFIII here in America when I first played it) was the epitome of JRPG, and FFXII was my second favorite in the series. Especially with the International Zodiak version, with the job system. It was the only one that really had exciting battle for me.
