I enjoyed XIII. It was fun, plus the Battle system was okay. It was nice and fast paced. Plus it felt baws when you staggered an enemy and was dealing huge numbers to them. Though most of the time I just Auto Battled which was not fun. And the game got rediculously hard when you reached the gran Pulse, or maybe that was just me. And-

THE XIII-2 DEMO IS OUT!? WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED!?! *Goes to DL it*

Or... it'll just be Final Fantasy X-2 all over again.
*Evil eyes you* That game never existed REMEMBER?

Playing XIII-2. It takes the great Battle system of XIII and improves on it. I really like how you get a monster to fight along side you. How ever I hate how you cannont heal to full during a fight. That is pissing me off. And I know it will piss me off in the full game cause I tend to drag my fights out.

Well I beta the Demo. I am gonna get this fucking game. The combat system is a more advanced version of the XIII one was. The Graphics are the same. In other words brilliant. and The soundtrack sounds better. Plus I got SO many fucking questions that need ot be answered now. Like how the fuck are they using Magic? They lost their L'cie brands! Also Lighting was riding Oden! HOW!?

AHHH JAN 31st cannont come fast enough!

And...
YOU CAN FIGHT ALONG SIDE CHOCOBOS IN YOUR PARTY!?!??! YES!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean. You're talking about the wound damage or whatever (the red bar), I guess? I assumed that meant you couldn't heal to full, but then I was able to heal just fine and it seemed to make no difference. Was I looking at it wrong?

And yeah I had actually forgotten that only L'Cie were supposed to be able to use magic haha whoops. I wonder if they're going to have a reason for that or just kinda... fuck it.

Whatever! Either way, I am still sold on this game (and no one is more surprised by that than I am).

After the disappointment that was FFXIII I think I'm going to sit the next one out. I saw it for pre-order in a shop the other day and thought: :/ Like many people, I didn't finish Number 13, it was just to slow and the fighting was repetitive. Also the characters sucked and were very annoying, especially Snow.

I expect the characters in this follow-up to be no better, so I think I'll pass.
Well why not actually try the demo out instead of just assuming?
Well Anthony, probably because it will suck. I could play it and if it turns out it's rubbish (which is highly probable), that will be a couple of hours of my life I'll never get back. After the first one, no thanks, I think I'd rather spend my time doing something else.

When do the Silver peasants get to try it?
A week from the original release, I think. But I wouldn't bother if I was you.

Dude, I finished X-2, so trying out a seemingly much better game for free is totally fine by me. XD

I never got very far in X-2. But from what I can remember, you couldn't beat the boss by just spamming attack and occasionally healing.
But whatever, I'm sort of going against my own philosophy of 'try before you judge' right now, so I hope you enjoy it when you get it!

Major questions must be answered:

1) How much skill customization are we given? Eight's level of change your stats? Seven's equipping of abilities from items? Ten's giant grid of skills? Twelve's EVEN LARGE grid of skills? Or 13's strictly linear path (worst option)

2) If your leader dies, is it Game Over? If that's the case, the game can go screw itself.

3) Are there side quests or mini-games before 25 hours? Is there stuff to do when the story gets boring? Is grinding possible to power over the bosses?

4) Can we play as Lightning at some point?

If these questions are answered correctly, I'll try the game. If not, no thank you.

FF is NOT A HARD FORMULA.
1)From what I understand skill customization is still not great but you do learn roles faster and the monster customization will allow you to break the game if you wanted and were diligent enough same as with the sphere grid in X, Materia in VII and junction system in VIII.

2)Apparently not I havent tried it personally but I have been told if youre leader dies you are given control of the other still standing character and have a chance to revive.

3)It seems to be the case yes but I am only taking this info from the few reviews I have read so will have to wait and see I suppose for confirmation oh and it seems you can power level if you want to as well, there are no artificial restrictions this time.

4)From what I understand the amount of time you spend playing as Lightning is very little

Not sure why FF is not a hard formula making anything is always a lot harder than it first appears once you try and hammer everything out then again if you want to generalise everything nothing is a hard formula.

I have played the demo and it seems ok I did finish and even got my plat on XIII so I got some enjoyment out of it the combat seems ok but im just worried it will take ages to come to fruition again so it will just be auto attack for the first 20 hours or so because it isnt worth manually selecting commands and timing their execution until you are up against the really strong enemies if it gets to that stage faster though I will be happy as eventually XIIIs combat was quite possibly the strongest in the series.

I wont be getting the game on release because Soul Calibur V takes precedence but it will be a purchase at some point although news that Snow and Hope (my two most hated characters in XIII) have prominant roles in this game as well (especially Snow damn I hope he dies in this one) doesnt make me that happy, still at least I can have chocobos and tonberrys in my team this time so that should make up for it.

I tried the Demo yesterday, and what can I say, I had a good time.

To me the feel of the game has changed, a lot of what I disliked about 13 seems to have been fixed, and I can not wait to play the game.

Only thing that gets me: Why did the put pokemon in my Final Fantasy.

FF is NOT A HARD FORMULA.
1) Well it is more or less what you'd expect from an FF game. Instead of having different trees as you had in FF13 you have one grid per character, and you choose what role to assosiate with each node you get. So if I have enough CP to gain a new node I can choose what role that node will be. So if I choose Ravager I gain spell stats, but if I make it a Commando role I gain physical stats.

2)Well you can swap party leader bid combat, and I do not remember if this happened to me or not while playing the demo, but I think you just get another one to control.

3) The Demo had two side quests (The demo is set in chapter two, so no idea how long into the gmae that was). Both side quests were very simple, one fetch quest and one kill quest) Awards you some items and CP. Seems Square enixs wants all their games to be mmos these days :p

4) From the video at the end of the demo it does seem like it.

Why you just don't download the demo and play it yourself I do not know :)
