So hopefully I'll stop seeing ads for it everywhere, trailers playing on any game video I try to watch, and things will calm back down.

I think I want the servers to come back up more than people who are actually playing the game so I can stop hearing about it everywhere.

That being said, wtf is Rockstar thinking releasing Max Payne 3 beside D3?

I hate it when people use acronyms and automatically assume I understand what they are.

Really? Today, of all days, in a Gaming forum, surrounded most likely on your screen by Diablo ads, you can't figure out what D3 stands for?

I'm just seeing the regular blue background.

Well then, a bit more understandable. The escapist must know I dislike Diablo and is just poking at me lol.

Well, duh, Doom 3 is out. But not "finally" it has been out for quite a while now.

...yeah, sorry, but DarkRyter has a point there. My personal rule is to only use acronyms for series/games either after I've written the whole title once or I am in acceptable context (D3 for Diablo 3 if I'm on a Diablo board or in a thread about it). It doesn't matter how popular that is, it's just good standard I'm using.

With that aside, you wish you'll hear less. Things are just getting started. Wait until something gross injustice comes up (completely subjective) and you'll get at least a couple of threads about it. Not that there aren't any now [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.375171-Always-On-line-is-Not-a-Deal-Breaker-for-Me] but there would just be more.

Yeah, I expect a few days of raging while the servers are stabilized, but then hopefully back to a normal level. Similar to how often I hear about SC2 would be nice.

PS: And no, I won't tell you what SC2 stands for ;P

PPS: Ok, StarCraft 2

At first, I thought it stood for "Dream Drop Distance". Then I read some post and realized you meant Diablo 3.

And this is why I didn't buy Diablo 3 and probably never will. I know how terrible BNet is from playing a lot of Starcraft 2 when it came out, but I definitely played it on the first day - no Error 37 at all.
