Finally. I'm going to get a PC upgrade so I can play games that were made after 1995.

gratz youl now be able to play awesome games such as psychonauts, beyond good and evil and advent rising(ANY pc gamer must buy these games they must abso-freaking utely buy these games)
Haha. I already played Psychonauts on the Xbox. It's my favorite game actually. And Beyond Good and Evil is on my wishlist for the PS2. I haven't heard about Advent Rising though. Perhaps I'll look into that.
it's actually sad to me about advent rising it's such a good game it's mass effect plus psychonauts and why do reviewers hate it so much well maybe they are sucking halo's big fat cock because atleast all the people who played the game said it's freaking awesome and the reviewers are assholes so yeha also buy advent rising although it's very very very rare to find it in stores i bought it but i lost the cd so i thought i will download it on torrent and to my surprise there weren't even seeders so yeha this game is goddamn rare but after a long search this game pays off A LOT

Hrm *clears throat, takes a deep breath*

System Shock 1-2
World in Conflict
Crysis
Deus Ex
Call of Duty
Battlefield 2
Fallout (all of them and mod the shit out the third)
Planescape: Torment
Company of Heroes
Dragon Age: Origins (PC-version as lead)
Quake

Grim Fandango is superawesome too, if your logical enough to solve the puzzels, which I'm not. Still, the artistic value, the music and the voicework makes it so incredible anyway.
Yeah. I already played Fallout 3 and Dragon Age Origins on the Xbox 360. that's kind of why I asked for PC exclusives. I already own a 360 and a PS3 so most likely if a game interested me that wasn't a PC exclusive I've already played it.
Just putting it out there since both Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Originis are better on the PC. Though frankly, their just better if you like a more tactical and back to basics experience on Dragon Age and the huge modsupport for Fallout 3. Though if you don't give a toss about these features then there's not much losing sticking to consoleversions or consoles in general.

VALVE complete collection
I agree
I agree. Both with the comment regarding acquiring Valve's game library, and with the agreeing sentiment.
Unfortunately a quick glance tells me everyone has said my stuff... I'll emphasise Morrowind, grab Majesty, it's on Steam for $10, get Steam, cause it's awesome, Age Of Empires, Command and Conquer, lots of RTS's basically. Presumably you've at least played Call Of Duty, but if you don't own any of the recent three, they're FPS so they belong on PC lol.
...Did anyone mention Morrowind? Ah well, it'll happen.

I think strategy is the main thing you'll have missed.

TBS: Civilization: any one of 2,3 or 4
RTS: Company of Heroes is a good example.
Mixed: Total War: Personally I liked Rome best.

Also, mouse-based FPS, especially the really pretty ones, like Far Cry 2 and Crysis.

And do get Steam and keep watch for good offers.

(I finally got a decent PC under 2 years ago and it's a revalation!)

System Shock 1-2
I'd strongly recommend playing these two before upgrading the computer, especially if the OS is old as well. That way you can bypass the issues running the damn things. I was so happy to have finally got my System Shock 2 running, then it crashed during the tutorial and wouldn't work again. I was slightly annoyed.

I've managed to get a cracked pirate version to run flawlessly and with a little tinkering (typing code), even to get the cinematics work on Windows 7 64 bit.

And yes, I bought the real thing yesterday for 11 ?. Fuck yeah!

And System Shock 1 works like a charm in DosBox.

I know i'm going to get Grim Fandango but other then that I have no idea.
You may want to save your current computer for that. I tried running it on my machine(not top of the line, but its nothing to sneeze at) and I couldn't get it to work on 7 (maybe i didn't try hard enough) but before I moved to 7 I tried it on XP and I had problems with refresh rates i think it was and my game had constant lines across the screen, couldn't see anything properly and wasn't good for my eyes. Tho that could be cause I cant change my monitors refresh rate, so you may want to watch for that. (you'll find a lot of the really old games like that take a lot of tweaking to get working on new machines)

OT: not necessarily all exclusives (but defiantly better on PC)

Bioshock
Valves, anything by valve
Fallout 3
Crysis
The Chronicles of Riddick (escape from butcher bay + assault on dark athena, Butcher bay is better but it comes with aoda so its pretty good deal.)
F.E.A.R

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure if my computer can run it. It has no graphics card.... none. Not even a slot for one. As for the games you listed the ones that aren't exclusive I've already played on the 360. Actually Bioshock, Fallout 3, and Left 4 Dead 2 are some of my favorite games for the 360.
