I love you.

I remember being taught as a child that violence never solves anything. I also remember realizing that there are occasionally no usefull alternatives. Some people refuse to function on logic, but we all listen to the lizard brain. Sometimes pain just works when nothing else will.

As for personal experience, which is to say OT, I was never actually bullied. Hit my growth spurt at 11 and started growing a beard at 14. Sure, I was the biggest loser in class and a total dork, but nobody had the balls to mess with me. Good times.

Also, OP, good for you, hombre!
Hurray for violence! :D

Sometimes you need to speak Monkey to communicate with Monkeys. In other words, he had to give the guy a good hit to the head, to get him to realize he doesn't want to be bothered.

After being slowly devoured by such cause you have to finally release yourself and in doing so you will feel lightened inside.
You can't be named broken by doing what he's done (revenge) when you have already been broken before, by the constant assault of insults and physical abuse. do you think a consequence is needed for the one who caused the pain?

I was bullied for sure, mostly verbal and very minor physical confrontations .The physical confrontations could have been brushed off as accidents if not for that damned smug look of satisfaction on their faces, while whenever I asked them to stop verbally assaulting me they mocked surprise and denied knowing that it was bothering me.

A turning point came during my sophomore year of high school when i realized that given the motivation i could bully them a lot harder than they could to me and being so non imposing they would have a hard time getting me in actual trouble. You see, my older cousin was a master at causing pain without leaving markings when we were young: grabbing a pinch of arm hair and quickly twisting it, indian burns (ironically she is half Native American), and an odd open claw strike to the gut that frickin hurt like hell. I learned well from her, mostly through example. [sub]gain through pain[/sub]

Finally realizing this i guess I just gave off more confidence than I had before. The remarks lessened and the 'accidents' all but stopped.

EDIT: Now that I think about it the confrontations also may have stopped because, During an english class we had to act out a scene from a play (I really hated doing that). I for some reason got the part of some angry guy who was supposed to "forcefully bump" the table (desk in this case) that another person was sitting at. I am a whole lot stronger than I look at just over five foot and really skinny. SO the desk (with a rather largish kid in it) ends up sliding nearly five feet while the person in it has eyes the size of dinner plates and I immediately start apologizing. Turns out one of the kids who was a general dick to me was in their. That may have had an effect on it.

well apearently there's a rumor around my school (or at least I give off the impression some how) that I worship Satan. Not sure how that happened. So people don't mess with me. Also I'm big and sadistic enough to give any douche bag jock a good fight; not to mention I'd be going in with some pretty reliable friends in my corner just in case

EDIT: HEADSHOT! sounds like you threw a pretty good punch. Split his lip.
Next time: put your hips into it, pretend there's nothing there so your punching air, start the punch palm up and twist your hand mid-punch to knucles up, follow through, keep a strong stance (including your shoulders, putting your weight into a punch doesn't mean much if you conpromise your balance), and most of all KEEP YOUR GUARD UP.

I used to take karotee

Greeting's fellow Nerd's, Geek's and Gamers.

Throughout most of my educational life I was bullied for all manner of reasons but mostly because I was quite emotionally shut off from the other kids (Asperger syndrom).

Thing's got a lot worse when people found out about my gaming enthusiasm.
I hated confrontation so I never fought back.
One person who I will simply call "Dick" was always the most violent and caused me a lot of misery. After I finished High school I thought I'd never see him again.

But today while I was in "Game" all of a sudden after not seeing him for a year and a half, Dick showed up and started reminding me of all the "Good times" he had at my expense.

Now I did what my parents taught me and ignored him untill he started pushing me around and then tripped me onto my face. (This took place outside the store)

It was at this moment that I felt an uncontrollable rage build up inside that forced it's way into my fist and caused me to turn around and punch Dick full force right in the face, actually causing his lip to bleed as his body met the floor.

After a lot of swearing on his behalf he made up his excuse's and made a quick escape, leaving me there with an unbelievable sense of satisfaction and pride for finally putting the prick in his place.

So as a question to you guys:
"Has anything like this happened to you and what happened"??

P.S.
sorry I think I should quickly mention that I am now 21 just finished a 2 year IT college course and am currently on a free year before I consider UNI.
(This was a sort of ghost from the past type thing).
I had this same problem I lent him a pen which I had used DMSO to impregnate with LSD, hilarity ensued when he was kicked out of school for being high on campus.

One time my friends kidnapped me and tied me to a pillar in my friend's basement. One of my friends was loyal to me, so I convinced him to let me go. (The others were playing Halo 3 in the next room of the basement) Seeing I was really pissed at that moment, I wacked my friend over the head with my bound arms, causing him to hit his head on a nearby bookshelf. He was knocked out :p. Score one for Peteron. (The reason I was so pissed is that they shut off my computer when I was rather far in Spore. Don't judge me I was addicted to it awhile ago!)

Revenge is a pointless thing. It only perpetuates further misery, and as such is the least desirable method of overcoming your problems. Consequence is not needed. Do you really think that physically harming him is somehow going to improve him as a person? It is not, and therefore pointless. You are just using revenge as a petty method of achieving self satisfaction. You should instead strive to be able to overcome your problems without giving into your primal urges.

I'm not saying this is an easy thing to do. I was incapable of doing this myself earlier in my life. I tried using violence to solve my problems. I'm not proud of that. But I understand how easy it is to give into your urges and seek revenge. Most of the time I won't berate someone for doing it either, since it is an understandable response that I wasn't able to resist either. But when you start taking pride in revenge and claiming it is the right thing to do, I see it as a problem.

So you're saying it is best to lower yourself to the level of a primitive to drive one away? I don't see that as a good solution.

I posted this story in another thread earlier today but it suits this one too:
For my 4 years in Jr. High I was bullied by several people but this one in particular, we'll call him Prick McGee for this story. So anyway it was 8th grade during recess that it happened. Prick was being an ass as usual which I just ignore because I'm pacifist (for the most part). THEN he started talking shit about Wicca (saying I'm a soulless satanist who deserves to burn in hell with the rest of my family and other stuff) which put me into a fit of rage. I got in his face and told him to shut the fuck up. Prick McGee called me a pussy and challenged me to hit him. So I hit him... 2 punches to the jaw and slammed his head into the tree we were next to. I broke his jaw & nose and gave him a few stitches for the gash in his head. Needless to say I didn't get fucked with again ^_^

I was getting beat up by one of my close friends and I was always kinda like you not really wanting to do much, but that day, I was so pissed off that I cussed out everyone who made fun of me, and I even grabbed one guy by his collar and lifted him off the ground for making fun of me so bad. Then when my friend was kicked off the football team (which he was the quarterback to and is a huge deal in our school) people tried to mess with me because of it and I scared the shit out of them until they left me alone. Eventually everyone apologized to me and I say mine to them but I was pissed off with them for some time.

I remember in middle school, I literately had 0 friends, and no one was nice to me. Eventually, after a couple months of taking shit from everybody, I snapped. One kid actually decided to tackle me, so when I got up, the first thing I did was punch him square in the face. That was my first fight I had ever had, and people stopped picking on me. The most saddening part was when they started to give me tips for when you're in a fight...

We shouldn't have to live in a world where violence solves problems, but once in a while, a good punch in the face is a good thing.
