Finally started watching Full Metal Alchemist.

Only a few episodes left for me to watch...Wondering if people can recommend me any series like it?

I hear that Brotherhood is good, so you don't need to recommend that.

I'd also prefer to keep it around 50 or less episodes. REALLY don't feel like another month long marathon. I just did all the seasons of Buffy and Angel...I'd like something that I can finish in a week or so.

Just be aware that Brotherhood is very different from the original Anime and I would avoid the Conqueror of Shamballa movie as well. Stupid thing drags on forever and raises more questions then answers.

If you're watching the original instead of Brotherhood, you should just stop and start watching Brotherhood. It's much better, and has a proper ending, that isn't rushed.

I've never really seen anything like it, so I'm not sure what to recommend. Maybe check out Deathnote or Code Geass?

Ah, Fullmetal Alchemist. That's one of my most favorite anime series of all time. Of course the manga is better. >_>

As for any recommendations? I suggest Azumanga Daioh. It's around 20 episodes long, and it's very funny.

Soul Eater, though Soul Eater is 4 seasons. Definitely worth it.

Black Butler is quite excellent, but not really like FMA.

And I didn't like Brotherhood as much as the original series. Mainly because of Al's voice actor. Nonetheless, Brotherhood is good.

Just gonna take a moment here to plug Fate/Stay Night. Somewhat obscure, a bit confusing at first, but well worth a watch. Another good one by the same studio is Kara no Kyoukai. Even more obscure, and one hell of a mindbender to boot in addition to the episodes being in achronological order, but also very much worth a watch.

I recommend Hellsing OVA, NOT the actual anime. It's not the greatest. The OVA is by far superior but only has 7 episodes right now but there should be a new one soon.
