OK Escapist, for the life of me, I cannot remember of this old computer game I used to play when I was a wee lad. I remember several details but I can't remember the name. Here is what I've got:

-You got to choose between a green male character or a yellow female character that looked more like alien blobs than humans.

-It was probably available in the mid 90s, and was available in Canada. I don't know if it was available outside of North America. It was playable on the computer, I suspect it was only available on the computer, but I could not be 100% sure.

- I played it while doom and the original battle chess were also available (although I wasn't allowed to play doom).

-The gameplay consisted of traveling between several stages on a larger map. At each stages there were several educational/science questions you could answer for some kind of points. The more points you got the faster vehicle you got to get to the next stage. The object of the game was to get to the finish line (several stages down the line) before your computer opponent did.

-The stages were varied in setting (I remember distinctly a mountaintop one) and consisted of a single screen with several things on it you could click on to see the questions.

-The vehicles of transportation were also varied (anything from a jetpack to running on foot) and were often related to the stage (boat from a water stage, skiing from a mountaintop stage).

It was really a fun little game and I would be very grateful if anyone could get me the name of it. One cookie and my eternal gratitude to whoever knows the name of this game.

Well the only games I knew from back then were wheel of fortune and Oregan Trail. What you describe sounds like the games we played at school for our education. Sadly I do not know.

That sounds like a game at my elementary school called Gizmos and Gadgets, if that's the correct name.
