Instead of railing against the "worst game/movie evar", try this on for size. Find a quality within the game/movie that even though its horribad in a lot of ways, is still a bright point.

I'll give an example:
Crow 2: while the movie is bad in a lot of ways, the cinematography is excellent. The tone of the movie images is stunning. Its too bad the movie itself is shit plot-wise and acting-wise, but it just looks absolutely beautiful.

Hmm, in Inglorious Basterds, the facial expressions on the Nazi officer when he chokes that woman to death made me laugh pretty hard. The one, and only, highlight of that terrible film for me.

I get if you didn't enjoy it, hey to each their own but terrible? Please. If you found no joy in the opening standoff over glasses of milk or the name-on-the-head tavern bluff scene, I question your film literacy. By that I mean that there is a language to film one learns over a lifetime. You learn its rhythms and its riffs. To not even appreciate any part of Inglourious Basterds for its skill in manipulating those elements I honestly feel a little sad for you. Its not a film that forms a complete whole, that is easily granted but it is foolish to say the only strength it has is a weird expression.

My horrible film with a saving grace has to be Street Fighter and its sense of fun. Its truly awful but damn it, at least it got the idea to treat the subject matter with a silly humor rather than pumping it full of darkness. That and I owe many nights of fun to the JCVD roundhouse kick drinking game.

Rule of Rose - I liked that health items were British tea-time sweets like scones, shortbread and minced pie. And the chalkboard pause screen was nice, complete with the scrabbling sound effects and gritty lines.

The rest of EVERYTHING sucked balls.

Kampfer: Suicide animal's are a cool concept for a line of plushies, plus being voiced by famous seiyu is a decently funny concept.

No, listen to the man. Those "rhythms and riffs"? Inglorious Basterds manipulated them... away - into a paceless flat line of endless drivel only occasionally interrupted by randomly placed depictions of violence. An "are we there yet?" movie if there ever was one.
IB. For now, my pick as well. Oh, the not really redeeming quality? Christoph Waltz was intense.

Another one: I recently watched The Human Centipede, which certainly achieved its goal of being gross and unpleasant. The good part? And no spoiler tags here, the moment those two cops arrive, it races pedal to the metal into stupidland, eradicating any sense of it meaning serious business. Hilarious.

Oh, wait, I'm doing it wrong, right?

Uhm. I liked the setting. That house with its white clinker facade? Could be anywhere in a 20km radius. (In fact, I believe the movie was set not more than 100km away from where I am right now) A nice change from the usual wodden shack.

I thought it was great. Not my favorite Tarantino movie, and definitely one of the least watchable ones, but I'm glad I saw it. It was a weird kind of brilliant.

Sanctum [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0881320/], your average mediocre horror survival story. But damn, the locations were awesome and breathtaking.

Dead Island is a pretty bad game overall, but the way it builds tension in between zombie encounters is wonderful. It's the kind of thing I would describe as "masterful" if it had been in a better game.

In The Descent, before it became a movie about Tae- Bo moms slaughtering blind midgets, there were some genuinely gripping scenes conveying the exhilaration and the horror of spelunking.

This piece of shit has a nice melody, I guess?

I'm not sure if it's a bad song, but it just... I hate it. I hate it so much.

Starry Night is one of my favourite paintings, and I HATE the fact that this pretentious piece of shit exists to tell me what to think about it.

Also it keeps popping up in stuff for some unexplained reason, and some people I know like it.

The Expendables 2...hmmm...

...

...

...

It wasn't too long.

Mass Effect 3 had an enjoyable combat system and the music was fantastic. While I did prefer the more RPG style of ME1, with the last game they did design it pretty well. The tech tree's worked quite well and I enjoyed the way each ability branched off with variations. The music is perfectly done and captures the atmosphere they were going for beautifully. Unfortunately despite having the OST (it came with he Limited Edition version) I can't listen to it as it reminds me of the game. Which was bad.

I actually really liked the first Kane and Lynch, the bank robbery scene in particular.

The story of Blacksite: Area 51 was very good.

Just beat Castlevania: Lords Of Shadows. The art for the levels is nice and varied. The game looks really nice from a technical perspective. Yeah, that's about it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has a mediocre at best gameplay in it's multiplayer, but I found the Face Off Game Mode highly entertaining, so if you exclude the irritating, plothole ridden, poorly written borefest campaign, the irritating multiplayer with the worst spawn system in the history of gaming, the bland and repetitive (even when compared to Zombies) Survival mode, the all too brief and uninteresting Spec Ops missions and the terrible balance in all modes, MW3 could be considered "fun".
