Finding a platform of sorts.

So here's my current woe. Which I'm not sure is a woe that'll be shared, or even understood here.


I have a blog. One of which I'm relatively pleased with, people who read it are also filled with positive responses.

What saddens me though, is the lack of reach with my poor little blog.

Now I'm not going to ask people to view it because in addition to being against the rules, it's probably not everybody's cup of tea. And let's face it, I really don't the idea ramming it down peoples throats.
Hell, I won't even ask for direct links.

But I will ask this.

How do you make things flourish? Or what would you do? Build a reputation on a forum? Shamelessly link it left right and center?


Maybe I s'pose if it was any good it'd find its own following.

Anyone in similar circumstances?

I'll be honest, I don't even have a clue what that is. If it's mentioned in the same sentence as lolcatz then I'll probably look the other way!

...basically this:

Naked pictures, generally of people who didn't want said pictures taken. The more awkward the better, at least for traffic.

Not that I buy into that sorta thing >.>

Anyway, tell your friends, first off... but make sure it's got (mostly) material that they'd be receptive towards. Ask if they like and if they like, perhaps they've got friends that would be interested in as well...

Simple? Yes. Effective? Maybe. Requires luck? Doesn't everything. Requires time? Of course.

you know, like extra credits, yatzee and every other person who started a blog.

you could post one of your entries and then make a hint that you have a blog and the link to it is in your profile.
if people care about the things you say they will check out your profile.

otherwise you seem to beg people for attention.

Wonderful call actually, I did do a few video blogs in 2007, but my word. Looking back at them makes me cringe (Doesn't help that I've forgotten the password)

But yeah, hints work a lot better than begging.

Did you have a particular purpose for it at all, because the problem I find with blogs I start following is that they lack direction (though to be fair, I might expect a tad too much, given it's a 'web-log' after all and not a peer-reviewed periodical... -_- )? No purpose really. I was in a mood one day and thought "A Blog would be a good venting system" and since then it's sort of been a hyperbole look at life.

The lettering, I assume you either mean the font, or how when you abbreviate the title it narrows down to "TWATD" I found this out as soon as I made a little Facebook banner for it. As horrified as I was, I found it to be a nice little spin.

Thank you though, for the honest feedback it's what I need to be fair!
