I played Thomas Was Alone because of this site. It was....OK. I also went back and downloaded Okami from the PS Store. It's also OK....so far. I beat the first boss (giant spider monster) several months ago and haven't touched it since. Honestly, I'm having a hard time getting past the dialog. I feel like I can't think about a problem for 2 seconds before that stupid bug just straight up tells me the solution.
You'd actually heard anyone say anything about Thomas Was Alone? I only played it because I try to give everything in the Humble Indie Bundle a decent go, and really liked it. I was just about to dismiss it as "another quirky indie platformer", glad I didn't. I was actually more attached to the characters than most games I've played with actual people characters.

OT: I hadn't watched Game of Thrones til the season 1 box set came out and my mate did a Drinking Game of Thrones night. I loved it, went on to watch it again (sober) and kept up ever since.

Also Psychonauts, it got all this praise and wonder and "deserved to do so much better" and I was all like "Fine, I'll give it a go" and really really enjoyed it. Playing it again at the minute, I am determined to get 100% this time. It will happen!

Indiana Jones too actually. I was worried the trilogy wouldn't live up to the amount of praise I'd heard about it, but me and my mate sat there and spent the day watching. I loved it.

My Little Pony would be the biggest one for me, though I do tend to keep an ear out for games that I've heard are good (i.e The Walking Dead). I pride myself of exploring the great entertainment unknown and finding things I like for myself, so I often don't need recommendations :p

I guess that would be Chrono Trigger which was midly successful.
Sure I bought the gam due to several people on here praising it and it is an alright game but not enough for me to want to finish it. I guess it's one of those games where you had to be there (I can see why the different decisions lead to different endings made back then must of been huge).

Glad you liked the Walking Dead! I bought it during the Humble Bundle as well, but have yet to try it out; here's hoping I enjoy it as well.

And as for peer pressure in gaming.. Yeah, I'd have to go with Call of Duty.
Er... every Call of Duty game I've purchased. I thoroughly enjoyed MW2 (it was the first CoD I'd ever played), as I had a whole bunch of friend playing it and we just had a blast. Black Ops wasn't so much peer pressure as just seeing other friends playing that now instead of MW2, and figuring it'd be another fun shooter (boy was I off the mark..) After that, I swore not to buy another Call of Duty, but then my boyfriend started hounding me to get MW3: on the PS3 no less (I'm a PC gamer, can't aim on consoles to save my life). I didn't want the game in the first place, but I love shooters in general and didn't really have anything to play with him as he didn't have a PC... So I bought it. Maybe it was just my attachment to the Tar, but it really felt like it had a limited selection of decent guns... Didn't enjoy it much at all.

Officially, OFFICIALLY done with peer pressure when it comes to that series. I would happily take some pushing from Remember Me fans though. I want justification to buy that game :(
