Well, I use Firefox because it terrifies me into doing so. Seriously, I was bad mouthing it one day and the next it installed itself onto my personal computer as my primary browser. It scares me.

I know i am a loser for using firefox but i can't handle the no add-ons of chrome and all my favorites and saved passwords and what not, i know i can probably transfer them but i can't be bothered. Anyway firefox randomly crashes all the time on me, and i disabled everything to see what was wrong and it still does it, I have updated it and all of that. Anyone else have this problem and knows a possible fix? If not let's just hate on firefox!
I had a problem with fire fox that sounds exactly like yours. It would crash on me which seemed completely random but more often when I was on search engines. I turned everything off and it still did it. Turned out for me it was actually something corrupted with my windows vista. I updated to windows seven and had no problems afterwards.

Firefox 4 is the currrent fastest browser in terms of rendering speeds. The crashing is a problem on your end, Firefox is quite dependable and does not use a large amount of memory.

Note: The dev version of chrome(12.0) has not been tested yet and seems to be at least as fast as FF4 if not faster. I'm using it currently and it's great. Not to mention... CHROME HAS ADDONS("extensions") TOO!. I don't know why everyone thinks that FF is the only browser with addons.

I don't think yboolio is concerned with that kinda problem.
Yboolio does care, Yboolio is nice, you must have Yboolio confused with his apathetic twin, Oilooby. Damn I just freaking love typing Yboolio.
Someone should totally make that a legit word!
I already added it to my computers dictionary. Now we just need a definition...
and a way to pronounce it.

Would that be pronounced e-boo-lee-o?

I was thinking of pronouncing it why-boo-lee-o although I suppose your idea is better.

Well, that's what Google Image search says to it...

I like firefox quite a bit, but I'm not a fan of the new update. Things have been moved, changed, some addons don't have the support yet, and just don't like the new look.

Stop using McAfee and install MalwareBytes. Then defrag your drive, then stop opening forty YouTube tabs at once. Problem solved.

Opera doesn't work and Chrome is just a giant data-gathering tool for google.
IE fucks up at the mere hint of going online, and then some chinese hacker will come in and steal all your passwords.

Only reason I'm using firefox right now is cause the latest IE freaks the fuck out when ever I try to go to The Escapist. It closes and reloads the page in a loop until it finally says "Fuck it" and leaves me with a blank page.

I see no real reason to dislike it, other than it crashing on me from time to time. (Though, by that logic, every web browser would be at fault to some degree.)

I'd advice against using IExplorer since the griefers still mostly target it.
Firefox is bloatware, or at least was still a year ago.
Chrome is very fast and light, and doesnät kill all your tabs when one encounters an error.
Opera is probably the best if you like frills and trix.

..well, the thing with Firefox is that it will contain the new experimental standards and functions, and so on. So you could end up on a page that uses a particular function or other, and it may or may not look splendid, and render at incredible speeds, and so on. So in a sense, the browser is constantly in beta. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it could cause a few issues.

..That's why I use Opera, at least. ..that, and the fact that 99% of the awesome layout things like tabbed browsing, collapsible menu-bars, sync, wall, mouse-gestures, dictionaries, etc., came from Opera.. ..and it has firefly/element/code-inspection if you need that. Selective loading of plugins, plugins on demand, that kind of thing. Functional as well as pretty. Full-screen modes that work..

Oh, and the memory footprint doesn't grow until your computer is full of cached data for no reason. Rendering speed as well as loading time is the fastest for most types of content.. Doesn't end up slowing down if you keep it open for a long while either. Widgets.. widgets are neat. If you happen to have a smart-phone running Opera, you can typically use the same widgets on it. And sync the bookmarks, notes, and so on online - you can sync bookmarks to opera mini as well - java-browser for smaller mobiles. It's the full package, basically.. 11Mb download. Flash is often the cause of Firefox's crashes on linux. Maybe on other OSes, too. I have a Firefox addon installed called "Stop Autoplay" that prevents embedded flash from loading until I click on it.

...well, I use firefox, chrome, opera and safari each for different things. I use chrome primarily because it's the fastest of the bunch... firefox being the slowest and most bloated... but also the most powerful (in terms of addon features).
