Basically, Have you ever met a celebrity? Prefer to do non-local celebrities (not your Uncle Mel, who walks around town naked).

For me, I have seen Bruce Willis in his car at Hollywood, and I met Ice Cube at the airport in Athens.

I saw Tom Hanks once, but I was like 2 or 3, my dad was taking me to the Natural History Museum in LA and he was coming out of it, so I don't know if that counts.

I got into a drunken fist fight with Santa a few Christmas' ago.
OT: I've seen the author of "Journey from the Land of No" speak at the opening ceremony of my 1st semester in college. Other than that, no.

This one's for the Aussies, but I saw the bassist from Van She, in his house (I know the family). I've known them for ages but only a few days ago was the first time I saw him. It's very minor, but that's the best I've got.

Met Noel Edmunds at Airborne, I got my picture taken with him and he signed my flight ticket.
I met several celebrities at a charity golf match (organised by EMC); Gary Lineker, Trevor Brooking, Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood. I got all of their autographs and a photo of me with Gary Lineker. Also a photo of me in an Eddie Jordan Grand Prix car (this was actually a bigger deal for my Dad as I had no idea who he was.
Then, years later Gary Lineker came to my school for our awards ceremony, but I was no longer a student there. I gatecrashed it said hi to my old teachers and got my photo signed (Gary Lineker recognised the golf course).

Anyway, funny true story; my Mum used to work as a teacher and she asked her class if they knew anyone famous. One kid put his hand up and said his brother had been on Crimewatch twice.

Reminds me of the "No one will ever believe you" Bill Murray jokes.

Basically, its a scenario where you meet Bill Murray in a crazy situation and he always says to you "...no one will ever believe you" etc.

example:
I was waiting in traffic while in a cab on Times Sq and eating some french fries. When all of a sudden, Bill Murray rode up on a horse to the side of the cab and told me to roll down the window. As I did, he casually reached in and took a single fry. As the window rolled up again, he mouthed the words "no one will ever believe you" while shaking his head, then got on his horse, ate his fry and rode off.

As a sci fi geek I have been to plenty of conventions and events so have met people like the whole cast of Babylon 5 (except for Andrea Thomson), various Star Trek people. I won dinner with Nana "Major Kira" Visitor but she stood me up.

To be honest I pretty much found that the shine of liking a famous person goes away when you actually meet them.

Umm, I stood next to Matt Dawson, the former England Rubgy Player on the London Underground, then ended up following him down the street after he got off.
I also (literaly) bumped into Jimmy Carr, the comedian when he was carrying cheesecake

Oh, and I also walked past Boris Johnson while he was on his bicycle in London.

So yea, I never meet celebrities, I just seem to bump into them a lot.

I got a chance to talk with Morgan Webb one unusual afternoon for a good two hours. I was skeptical that it was actually her, so I was flirting with whom I thought was just some hot chick who looked remarkably like her. She was quite sweet about the whole thing and we had a great conversation about her (I am a fan of her hotness), life, and her impressions of her level of celebrity. It was just great to relate to someone as a person instead of as an icon, you know? And hot nerd girls are the jizz!
