Well... I sort of know Rowan Atkinson's son, so I've seen him around.

Chopper Read is a father at my sisters primary school, so we run into him around the place :p

Just asking, do people outside of Australia know him?

I met the band Skillet the day after one of their concerts. They were just walking around town and I happened to bump into them.

I've also met and had conversations with a couple of senators and congressmen but they're not really celebrities...

Oh, and I didn't actually "meet" Reese Witherspoon (she was on the set of Sweet Home Alabama shooting in my hometown) but I got pretty darn close! I just wanted to say "Hi" :(

My parents saw Rick Flair getting into a limo when they went out to dinner.

Also, my friends are friends with the members of a local band around here.

Reminds me of the "No one will ever believe you" Bill Murray jokes.

Basically, its a scenario where you meet Bill Murray in a crazy situation and he always says to you "...no one will ever believe you" etc.

example:
I was waiting in traffic while in a cab on Times Sq and eating some french fries. When all of a sudden, Bill Murray rode up on a horse to the side of the cab and told me to roll down the window. As I did, he casually reached in and took a single fry. As the window rolled up again, he mouthed the words "no one will ever believe you" while shaking his head, then got on his horse, ate his fry and rode off.
The funny thing is, my dad claims to have sat next to Bill Murray on an airplane. I don't know if I believe him though...

As for me personally, I met T. A. Barron, the author of the Merlin series, but it was only a book signing, so nothing hugely special.

Met Jack Black in an airport once. He was fairly chilled. I didn't really do the "Hey, You're Jack Black!" thing, and he seemed pretty glad about that.

the first? well that's hardly the most interesting but okay..
uhhhh... hmmmm.... Oh hey, I met Michelle Pfeiffer in like 1993 (it was right after Batman Returns) because they were doing casting calls for a movie she was in or producing or something in our town and she was in the 2nd handbook store. My mother spoke to her about the books she was looking at and had no idea who she was until my older brother said something. My older brother (different one) had her autograph a book with a ballpoint pen. The book was Speaker for the Dead. I don't know if he still has it.

Yeah, I remember he was doing this thing once where he put out his Xbox live gamertag and said he'd be playing games and invited people to come play with him.

I bet $5 he regretted that.

OT:I met most of the Cowboys, and got their autographs once, and a large sock full of random shit (Obviously promoting the Cowboys, but hey, fuck it, free teddy bear.).
Some of you at home might be like
"HOLY SHIT I ENVY YOU SO GOD DAMN MUCH MAN!"

But me not being a football fan at the time I was just like
"...Really? Cool."

Also, I might want to mention this was in CPC, so I went with a class, that's why they had prepared random crap for us.

Plenty of Broadway actors here, I love musicals, and getting signatures of the cast. I have a nearly fully autographed Mamma Mia! playbill, save the female lead... damned that she didn't want to meet the fans that night when it was just myself and one other girl.

Are you saying you're cousin is Doc Arzt! Holy crap man that is pretty fucking awesome.

On topic, I can't recall anytime that I've met a celebrity, so I guess... no.
