Well I've met my cousin Dan Roebuck [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0736263/] and he's been in a lot of stuff, you remember that high school chem teacher in Lost that got blown up by the dynamite? Yeah that was him.
Are you saying you're cousin is Doc Arzt! Holy crap man that is pretty fucking awesome.

On topic, I can't recall anytime that I've met a celebrity, so I guess... no.
Yeah he's also friends with Rob Zombie

Basically, Have you ever met a celebrity? Prefer to do non-local celebrities (not your Uncle Mel, who walks around town naked).

For me, I have seen Bruce Willis in his car at Hollywood, and I met Ice Cube at the airport in Athens.
Well I've talked to both Rick Mercer from the Mercer Report, and Jessica Holmes from Air Farce. Also, my hat has been worn by Ron James.

My girlfriend at the time met steve vai in a pub after going to his concert and stroked his arm. Never thought I'd find myself competing with a rock star guitar virtuoso.

Also just recently I saw arnold schgwrz@#$zngger (sp????) carry the olympic torch in vancouver.

a friend of mine had a chat with Kim Clijsters (tennis star) and I got roger federers signature before he was famous.

aaand my sister went to school with a descendant of Shakespeare and a relative of the reverend W Audrey who wrote the Thomas the Tank engine books :p

I made eye-contact with Elijah Wood outside of Universal Studios for like a second. LOTR had just come out, but I hadn't seen it.

My neighbour met Woody Harrelson, she even got her picture taken with him.

And I met Loreena McKennitt when she was signing copies of her most recent cd at a local bookstore.

When I was nine my dad took me to see a wrestling fight and when "The Undertaker" came out he stopped near my dad and I and put his hand on my head. I thought [at the time] he was going to kill me but now I just look back thinking how awesome it was.

Paul Leyden [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0508025/] is my Mum's cousin.

I don't know if that counts or not.

I've met Jay Leno... Twice.
Quentin Tarentino
Conan O'Brien
Ricky Gervais
Martha Steward... if that counts...
Various not really famous members of the British Royal family...
Lance Armstrong
And I did some work for Tiger Woods a few years back.

Edit:
Also, a few child actors were at my high school, don't remember their names. They were on the Disney channel though.

Edit 2:
John Melendez, the announcer for the Tonight Show borrowed my pocket knife to open a toy for his kid once.

Uhhhh, well. I was at a book store when Emeril Lagasse was doing a book signing.

He was kind of an ass. :/

I met Sir David Attenborough a couple of years back. He's one of my idols, I was very pleased. He was a really nice guy too. And after watching about a hundred people get their books signed by him, I realised that I was the only one that had shaken his hand and chatted to him :)

Ignore the backpack, I was lugging around two camera bodies and about five lenses!

I don't meet really, really famous people very often, but I meet a lot of "cult famous" people on a regular basis just as part of work. Not going to name names of those people, wouldn't be professional, especially as I despise most of these people on a personal level (with only a few exceptions).

As for really, really famous - probably the most well-known person I had a personal conversation with was Tom Morello. Although I didn't meet him in the flesh, I had a very long phone chat with Necro once, that was certainly enlightening.

I met Prince Harry at work, although someone had to tell me it was him. My reaction was a sort of 'meh'. Also Gary Lineker came into the store asking for directions, and he even made a shameless plug-in for Walkers crisps

Well let's see...I've been on the radio, television, I have performed at the Fox theatre, and probably my crowning achievement would be when I performed for the last pope in the Vatican. So I guess that means I get to see one every time I look in the mirror(unless I have to count myself as local).

Oh, and I've met the pope.

Oh, forgot about one.

I got to hang out with the guys behind Streetlight Manifesto after a concert. Some of the coolest, nicest dudes I've ever met. I've never seen a band more appreciate of their fanbase. I love it. =)
