Looks absolutely awesome, I just hope they stick to the complexity of the original

Looks like a strong start. But then, I'm the apostate who liked System Shock 1 a lot better than 2.

Ehhhhhh...

The graphics are good. I suppose... All I really saw though is some guy running around a derelict ship beating things up with a hammer. Oh and some one-note ambience. That was seriously about it. And the hammer swings weren't even all that satisfying looking at all either. I know this is a pre-alpha but even then, it's not a good first concept for a game at all.

It doesn't tell me really anything about the story. It says bad things about the gameplay. The ship looks very samey... I think they need to do another pre-alpha concept.

I think going for a HD remake takes away from the atmosphere the originals managed to set.
I hope I am wrong.

improved graphics and sounds like they fixed up the controls.. its a must buy for me when released.

people have to remember the first system shock was frankly ground breaking when released, a full 3d game, with voice acting, and a narrative told almost completely through the game play with a bad guy people still talk about today.

to put it in perspective DOOM had only come out a few months before hand

To be fair, this looks like it's a lot more than just an HD remake. It's practically an entirely new game, and it sure looks claustrophobic and creepy.

To be fair myself, I'm still curious to this remake. And if they show more work down the line I might get proven wrong.

Same here, on both counts.

Though if I had to nitpick... both Medical and Storage looked a bit too dark for my tastes. I hope they don't lay it too thick on the "survival horror" angle of SS - that game was much more than just jump scares.
