Coincidentally, Super Mario Land is the first game I also remember playing. I remember it was when I was young and my dentist would give me a game boy with that game to play while I waited for the fluoride in my mouthpiece to set in. That was one good dentist.StickManRampage said:Curiosity, what is the first game you can remember playing? Also what system was it for?
For me it was Super Mario Land for Game Boy, but i was 5 so i had a Game Boy Color to play it on =D
This was my first game as well, only for the Commodore 64. Hell yeah joysticks!sequio said:River Raid for Atari. Damn refueling stations.

I actually remember a game similar to this that I played in school, but with fish. It was sort of a puzzle game, you start with your fish on the left side, a random fish or other creature on the right, and you had to pick to swim high, low, or center. If you swam directly toward the other thing (it could sometimes be a seal or osprey or some algae, as well as other fish) you would either eat it if it is small enough, or be eaten if it was big enough, or swim right by. You would get points based on your decision, IE, if you eat it but it is not part of your main fish diet, you would gain only a few points, if you get eaten you probably got no points, and other such points schemes. It was actually pretty interesting and I wish I could remember it, I'd love to look it up and play again. OH NO SEAL RUN!Fightgarr said:I can think of one game that I played earlier than that, but the name eludes me. It involved navigating an animal of your choice through habitats in which you had to eat everything lower on the food chain than you and avoid everything else. I think it was called Animal Quest or something, but I can't be sure, I was 3.
That is exactly the game I'm think of. There were also levels for a temperate forest and an African savannah.coldfrog said:I actually remember a game similar to this that I played in school, but with fish.
