pretty straight forward. It doesn't have to be the first horror game you played just the first time you were genuinly frightened.
Mine was the re-deads in Zelda OoT. Just the terrible thoughto f being paralyzed while something slowly eats me alive. Though on the plus side it started my feti...interest in zombies.
Were the ReDeads eating you alive? I had the idea they were doing something else...
Yeah...those sounded like moans of pleasure

Earthworm Jim 3D. I was about 5/6 and when your main friend is disembodied dog head and the first level sees waked-up chickens running at you screaming I turned it off straight away and have only played it once since then.

Let me explain something first. I am not scared by men with chainsaws or witchs are anything else of that sort. Sure, I'll jump in my seat and sure, I'll have a little trouble falling asleep but I normaly do fine with those things. Only one thing can make truly scared.
Zombies.
Freak the ever loving crap out of me as a kid, and even now it passed on. How do I know it passed on? Well, my brother got Left 4 Dead, but since I only played with him in the day with the lights on and sound low/off, it was ok. "O, I can play this! I'll be fine with Deadraising, which I played and loved the demo!"
NOTE: Forgot to mention. I am an idiot.
So, I rented Deadraising about, I don't know, seven mounths ago. I still have trouble sleeping. Still. At least an hour I lay awake, scared to death.
Now you, The Escapist members, know my single greatist fear. Yea.

Doom 3,

My dad was playing it, and some random women jumps in your sight, screaming "Help me!". She starts to twist and turn untill her head explodes and a floating skull surrounded by flame sprouts. The spine was still attached and fell off after a few seconds....

That made me scream. I couldn't sleep for days after seeing that. I was still eight, I think..

The intro of Bioshock was pretty scary too. Not the real scene in which the guy gets gutted. But then the door opens. You have to step outside without a weapon...
