really long time ago, and I was pretty young at the time, so I have absolutely no idea. it was either something on the Atari 2600 or Commodore 64.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the Master System Mk.2. I have those first few levels ingrained in my head even now.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I was 5 years old and it blew my mind. Absolutely life changing experience
I was not expecting to be ninja'd in this thread, but there you are. Probably about the same age as well.

It's either KidPix or some ancient Mickey game for DOS when I was 3ish. Both had to be started from the DOS prompt on my parents' Epson. :p

EDIT: Probably "Mickey's 123: The Big Surprise Party" since that's the only DOS Mickey game from around that time.

The 5th Element game, if one can actually call that playing. The thing crashed every minute.

Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt

Though the first game I really got into and mastered was Mortal Kombat, mainly because I broke my NES shortly after getting it.

Ladder. An old, old, old game using green ascii characters on a black background. This thread actually inspired me to find a link to it. http://ostermiller.org/ladder/
