The Sly 1 platinum most certainly counts. You're probably the only one that thinks otherwise.
That didn't rub you the wrong way? They're doing an HD remake, they look at this one set of unlockables (and I really enjoyed the dev commentary personally) and think, "We can't put an achievement at the end of that, it's too difficult."

Isn't that completely ass backwards?
They could've added trophies for it. They added them in Sly 2 for skills that one most likely wouldn't have bought otherwise. But it didn't happen and it isn't going to change, so I fail to see a reason to complain about it.

I have an Xbox, but the first game I got all the achievements for was Assassin's Creed 2. I loved that game, it was all I'd play for ages.

I wanted to do the same with all the other games, but as Brotherhood and Revelations require multiplayer achievements, I doubt I'll ever actually do so.

Saying that, the first one I could get all of them for... But the prospect of searching for all those flags just seems too much of a daunting task.

However, I later have managed to get the twenty for Minecraft (come here little pig, just need to put this saddle on you... And then kill you...).

If MGS 4 had those trophies the first time it was released, WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE, I would have had the Platinum first there. If that didn't count, I did it to RE5 first and I'm not proud I played that game. It was like Transformers Bay Edition The Game.

Skyrim Platinum trophy is the first and only Platinum I have.
Others I got close to are Infamous - 98% with TWO FUCKING BLAST SHARDS REMAINING and Assassin's Creed 2 at 87% (those bastard feathers).
Check the ruined bridge where you fought that old guy with the giant golem, there are two incredibly easy to miss shards there.

The first game I got everything for was enchanted arms, but that's because you can get all the achievements by finishing the story, the one I finished where you had to do extra things was Mass Effect 2.

Pokemon red on the Gameboy. Granted trophies and achievements were non-existent at the time but I still count it.

Fallout 3, I think... Not exactly hard, but time consuming. Can't be arsed to get the Skyrim one -- I accidentally saved over my 2nd thief. My FIRST thief was more of an assassin but his archery got borked. Yeah. 100 archery with some weird penalty that brought it down to something like 17 or 18.

Bloody close to getting my Skyrim platinum soon, just need to go Gold farming and search for Skill Books
Whoa that's exactly how my platinum order is. If you have 100% in infamous festival of blood then I'll be freaked out. :O

Never platinum'd a game before.

I'm not big on achievements unless they promote different play styles like with StarCraft 2 SP campaign.

If Resident Evil 4 had achievements I would have Platinum'd it though.
Pretty sure I've done everything you could do with that game.

I don't really like trophy hunting, but my first platinum on my PS3 was for Demon's Souls. It was a deliberate show of respect for and enjoyment of the game.

Before that, I think I got all of the achievements for Velvet Assassin on a friend's 360 he was letting me borrow as payment for pet sitting. It wasn't very difficult. Interesting game, definitely had potential as well as a lot of missed opportunities.
This. Even though my PSN hasn't updated it, i got the Platinum for Demons Souls. I loved that game, i still do. I hated it when i first played it, and then it grew on me. I only hope Dark Souls does the same. I bought it on PC and haven't had any glitches or random bugs *Knock on wood* But screw Anor Londo sometimes... Freaking archers

you mean first game I 1000'd? I have an Xbox.

Anyway it was Oblivion, But then Shivering Isles came out... I heard that PS3 users don't have to deal with that crap...
Then it was Dead Rising
then Tales of Vesperia
You mean when expansions come out it adds their trophies to the trophy list even if you don't have the game so that it doesn't say 100% anymore. Yeah, unfortunately we do. Makes me a bit cranky. This was the only reason I bought the gta 4 expansions. The multiplayer ones are the most annoying for me though, especially as by the time I get the game the multiplayer is already dead, so I can't/don't buy the add on.
Yeah, I can't stand multyplayer achievements either... mostly because I can't stand multyplayer...

I only go for them when I know I'm going to get all the other achievements (Because I'm OCD like that) Or sometimes I'll just fill up a lobby with drones and get achievements the cheep way...

Only one damn blast shard remains. I made a damn list, checked off every damn one I find on the damn map, and I'm still missing one damn shard
Anyways, I've got like 98-99% completion on at least 5 games that are just begging to be completed. So sad.

Yes, collecting all the shards is quite....infamous.

My first is Ultimate Genesis Collection. Would have been AssCreed II if the trophy system didn't randomly bug out. As it stands, I am missing two: one for completing the 10th sequence and one for buying everything.

Assassin's Creed II, I think it was. I know that the one after that was Alice: Madness Returns, and then Skyrim.

I've been trying my hardest with Call of Duty, but veteran is just so ridiculous. I'm currently working my way through Deus Ex: HR and SSX.

Sports Champions! :D

...it's to date my only Platinum...but I'm 92% of the way through Dark Souls, so my lonely Sports Champions Platinum will have a much more hardcore friend :)

I know that feel bro.

OT: My first one was Resident Evil 5. For a while it was the only game I had, so it was inevitable.

Here are my other platinums:

Heavy Rain

All the God of War games

Uncharted 2 and 3

Tekken 6

Can't remember if it was Bioshock or the first Uncharted. One of those two.

I'll tell you as soon as I get a PS3 and some games. I'd have to see what games I've 100% on the Xbox Before I could tell you which one I completed first.

Left 4 Dead on the Xbox. All 50 achievements, excluding the DLC. I was (and still am) so proud of myself.
Between the game constantly wanting to update(makes it very hard to finish a campaign before I get lagged out) and the difficulty of some of the achievements(I swear that CrOwned is impossible for me), I don't think that I'll ever be able to do that.

I believe my first was Journey for the PS3. It's pretty easy to platinum I'll admit. Generally though I don't aim to get every single trophy/achievement in a game.
