Super Mario Land on the giant brick-like Game Boy.

Those were good times.

Probably the original Colonization. I used to be able to beat it fairly regularly. Damned if I can remember how I managed it though.

Ghostbusters for the C64.

Good times, good times indeed.
I believe I was about 2, and I had no idea what I was doing.

Probably Combat on the 2600. My brother and I played the Tank games to death, and the jet/biplane stuff was fun, too. The Three Planes Vs. One Bomber, however, not so much.

The first video game I ever played was either Duck Hunter or Super Mario for Nintendo

From memory it was Muppet Treasure Island. I still bring it out from time to time lol.

The muppets are most excellent!

If you mean video game and not general game (like hide n' seek), then I played the first commercial video game ever, the coin-op PONG at the Goofy Golf in Ft Walton Beach FL (not saying that this location was the first one, just that PONG was the first one).

I played Colossal Cave Adventure on a PDP-11.

I also played Super Nova by Big Five Software on a TRS-80 back in the late 70's early 80's

I think it was either World of Illusion starring Disney's Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck or Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Mega Drive II/Genesis 16-bit.

It should still be working like a charm, ah those games had great multi-player hehe.

Probably Glug Glug and Attic Attack on the Spectrum. I used to have to leave the room whilst it was loading to avoid it crashing.

Excuse me while I go feel old...
at least you got more than 2 colours ;)

I don't really remember the first game that I played (I was three or four at the time) but I think it was one of the Mario games on the NES or something. Anyway, I'm sure that I was terrible at the game, but it was the start of a life-long passion that not end until the day I day, but hopefully there will be game systems in heaven.

Mine was Super Mario Land for the GB. "You're princess is in another castle" still haunts me.

I think mine was Tetris or the really old Alien Vs Predator game for the original Game Boy. And Super Mario Land at the same time.

The image of "Oh Daisy... Oh Mario!" then Daisy turning into a squid is etched into my being for all time.
