Pretty awesome huh? I think it looks like Bane could actually fit into the world of Christopher Nolans Batman...

Fffffffffffuuuuuuuu-

Seems he's "Gone Bronson" again. The Hannibal Lecter mask is pretty fucking unnerving.

That mask doesn't look very luchador..esque..ian. Other than that, it's perfect. Right down to the hairy shoulders.

Told ya Tom Hardy could pull this off. I never doubted it for a second.

Ever since I saw him in Bronson and as Sikes in Oliver Twist, I've been totally smittened with the guy.

Of course he could; he's just a roid-rager.
I thought they were going for the kingpin-esque comic book version of Bane, so he wasn't just dumb muscle, but an intelligent and wily guy, able to organise all the crime in Gotham Godfather style.

I can't wait to see how Christopher Nolan makes this one into solid gold. I mean, going from Begins to Dark Knight and skipping the whole Sequals Suck Syndrome was nothing short of amazing. I am happy to see that they picked a villian from the Batman Universe that hasn't been fully fleshed out.

Christopher Nolan is the one and only reason you don't get to talk shit about marketting-driven "dark and gritty" reboots anymore.

After Dark Knight, I told all my friends I wanted to see Nolan's take on Bane. They, having only seen the terrible parody that was Batman and Robin, told me I was crazy.

But I knew.

What? The character of Bane is supposed to be as smart as he is strong, capable of strategically planning and out-thinking Batman.

I was picturing

Eugh. I hated that design. Far too complicated.

I think definitive look of Bane is more like this [http://i.newsarama.com/images/ssix_cv26-copy.jpg]. Much simpler and visually striking.

That's probably because originally Bane's design WAS based of luchadors. Hell, he speaks Spanish.
