I loved this game on ps2 and never had much problems with camera. Maybe just you?
Also, saying that platformers never worked in 3D, and hardly in 2D, is total bollocks. Some of the greatest games ever made have been platformers.

Every level (mind) was unique in style and story, and was appropriate to the personality of the individual you were inhabiting. The gameplay adapted fairly well to each section. Every character and mission was well developed. And the humor was side-splitting hilarious.

Of course it wasn't a perfect game. The graphics weren't great even by last-gen standards. The difficulty curve shot through the roof near the end of the game, making it extremely frustrating. And the controls (I played on Xbox 360 recently) were not the best, but could have certainly been worse.

All of those flaws were minor and easy to overlook. The only things I really hated about the game were the water interaction (every time you fell into water) and the point of no return, after which you can't go back and finish side quests.

All said, I'd give it a 7.5/10 on the random arbitrary number scale. It wasn't the masterpiece some people claim it to be, but it was fun (at times very fun) and unique enough to keep my interest longer than most mainstream games.
