First look at Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash

Anyone remember that CW will have a Flash spin-off from Arrow?
Well, here's the first look at actor Grant Gustin as the Flash.

My reaction? At least they got the mask right sort of. The rest of the body though, they still haven't shown it yet.

So what do you guys think? yay? or nay?

Oooh, not bad, not bad at all. It kinda reminds me of Cap America's helmet though, but that's never a bad thing.
Do hope they reveal the rest of the outfit soon and hope they don't repeat 90's flash outfit, ugh.

They better have brought over the awesomeness of Arrow to Flash because CW is doing this shit right, excelling where major DC movies are repeatedly failing.

They haven't shown the full body yet. And I'll update this once it's shown or the Escapist finally report this news.

Yeah it's a spin off of the show Arrow and Barry already showed up in that. It's actually where they did the origin. Season 2 episode 8 "The Scientist."

It doesn't look as sharp as I expect it to be but none the less it's pretty good. Kind of wish they had used better lighting though as the red look more like brown.

Fair enough; I got the shits with Arrow about 9 episodes in and stopped watching it, so I've missed Season 2. But, it's been doing well and it's good that Flash is getting some love, so cheers to all the Flash fans out there I guess

I can't put my finger on what it is, but something about that picture makes the actor look like he's twelve.

EDIT: I think it's what the chinstrap does to his jawline.

Anyway, I really hope CW can manage to replicate the success of Arrow and transfer it to Flash. If you are not watching Arrow..then go watch it immediately because it's awesome!

Color it blue and turn the bolt into a star and BAM! Captain America. That aside though, it looks great given I can only see about 10% of the costume. Miles better than Hal "Guy Gardener" Jordan's Green Lantern 'costume' from the movie and it doesn't look like it'll have armor like Batman has had since Batman Begins. I still have yet to watch Arrow but it sounds really interesting. I just don't care too much to watch TV shows...is Arrow on Netflix? I think it was but I'm unsure if it's still there.

Those cowl things must be a pain in the ass to wear and his costume looks more brown than red but that might be the lighting.

I know next to nothing about the Flash other than he can move stupidly fast and make shit explode.

Brown would be very unfortunate as he could be called 'The Brown Streak' then.

It looks as if he is wearing leather which doesn't seem like a good decision for Flash since the friction would destroy it along with his testicles when he gets up to speed plus it's got to restrict his movement somewhat. I know spandex isn't cool anymore but they could have gone for something a bit more practical for a guy who is supposed to be quick.
