First official photo of the NEW Spiderman movie

Well we all want to know if this new film is going to good or whatever, so, in order to help us decide whether or not we want to throw our money at a movie that was essentially the product of Sony's Movie Corporation (Whatever it's called) throwing a hissy fit when they couldn't get the villain they wanted because the director had other ideas, Sony has released a picture for us to view, with a good view of the costume.

Ignoring the fact that it looks like he's pissed himself in it. I HALF like it. It looks snug, but I don't think I feel it's Spiderman. It's not the same. I'll judge more when I see the mask.

I really don't get what people mean when they say this. It's a Spider-man costume. It has the same themes and premise as any other Spider-man costume just with slight variations.

Doubt it. Garfield's a sweet actor and it's being written by James Vanderbilt, who wrote Zodiac. It's got some talent behind it, and although I havent seen any of Webb's work, I really dont like Raimi as a director.

Ah yeah and it's got The Lizard, and Gwen Stacey as opposed to Mary Jane.

As for the costume, I like it, it seems to have more prescence than parker's costume.

It might be the lighting, but the color seems too dark and subdued. Spider-man's normal outfit has typically been bright and attention-grabbing.

There's a few design quirks that really bother me, like how the red part of his costume has no 'belt' on his waist, but rather, goes down to his crotch. Red is the first color you see...and it leads the eyes.........so......

Also, the 'flames' on his gauntlets look stupid and unnecessary.

The costume's colors themselves are too dark, though this might be a good thing, as the bright red would just add to more ZOMGCROTCH.

Finally, I think they simply bombed with the actor they cast for Peter Parker/Spiderman. Peter was always described as a nerd, but he was always muscular, and he was in college, too. This kid looks like numerous freshmen in my highschool.

I DO like the material of the costume, though. Looks mesh, flexible, breathable...like how Spiderman would prolly design a suit for his abilities. What I always wanted to know, however...is how he designed and created a suit that looks like such a monster to sew. Not to mentioned repairs...

My issus is the fact that peter parker is a free lance photographer (unless they are using the retarded Ultimates thing where he is a "Web Designer"... Get it!) but in the movies so far the costumes have cost MILLIONS of dollars. It's kind of a discrepancy.
