My issus is the fact that peter parker is a free lance photographer (unless they are using the retarded Ultimates thing where he is a "Web Designer"... Get it!) but in the movies so far the costumes have cost MILLIONS of dollars. It's kind of a discrepancy.
I actually like the costume more, I much prefer movies to have their own interpretation of the costume, the original movie costume looked too similar to the comics.
My main concern though is the actor, because I hated Tobey Macguire(?) as Spiderman, sure he kind of looks the part, but he was just such a little ***** the entire time, Peter Parker always had an air of confidence about him, before and after he got his powers, but Tobey just acted like a pussy from start to finish.
Although that's probably down to the director, Tobey may have just been doing as he was told.

As funny as that could've been a scene or two of just evolving the suit. He tears it webslinging, so he changes the material. He can't move with enough freedom, so he adjusts the placement of seams. Going straight from something he finds at Jack Jones to ultra-light, skin-tight, micron accurate, form perfect future spandex is a bit of jump. Even taking the same suit and trying to give it a look of being hand repaired (Like Viggo Mortenson did in LoTR).
Doubt it. Garfield's a sweet actor and it's being written by James Vanderbilt, who wrote Zodiac. It's got some talent behind it, and although I havent seen any of Webb's work, I really dont like Raimi as a director.
Ah yeah and it's got The Lizard, and Gwen Stacey as opposed to Mary Jane.
As for the costume, I like it, it seems to have more prescence than parker's costume.

Calumon: Did he knit that himself? He must've 'cos he slipped and cut his face! Silly.
So they're going down the gritty Batman route? It worked with Batman because Batman has always been quite a dark superhero. Spiderman however quips his way through battles. I don't know about this...
Alright, that should've been "from the start". The TV show featuring West is the exception. Hell, when Batman just started out he walked around with a .45 Colt and snapped necks without thinking too much about it.
Then during the late 50's and 60's it became more light in tone, the TV show topping it off. Since the 70's however Batman is back to it's roots; the dark avenger of the night, not the silly surfer and shark repeller. The latest movies continued that line.
Spiderman however, while wrestling with all kinds of things belonging to an insecure nerdy teen, was overal lighter of tone with him quipping his way through battles and all (as it's said, one of the signs that Spiderman is really angry is when he just shuts up entirely). I just hope this movie doesn't make him go down the Anakin Skywalker route, of being a whiny cry-baby who acts like he's half his age.

There are more light-hearted Batman stories than just the Adam West TV show. Not to say that there aren't a lot more gritty stories but they're definitely there.
Well we all want to know if this new film is going to good or whatever, so, in order to help us decide whether or not we want to throw our money at a movie that was essentially the product of Sony's Movie Corporation (Whatever it's called) throwing a hissy fit when they couldn't get the villain they wanted because the director had other ideas, Sony has released a picture for us to view, with a good view of the costume.
Ignoring the fact that it looks like he's pissed himself in it. I HALF like it. It looks snug, but I don't think I feel it's Spiderman. It's not the same. I'll judge more when I see the mask.
The Spiderman Reboot is coming out eventually. Go check yourself. Probably in Summer 2012.

Hence why I said that the show topped it off. The entire Batman franchise became lighter in tone for a while. Of course the TV show is the most obvious and blatant example. I don't think any of even the lighter early-60's comics came close to the zanyness of the TV show. Not that I've read them, but it must be preeeeetty hard to top this:
