First pictures of new Superman

So do not know if this is old news but thought would just share this picture of Henry Carvill as superman so was just wondering what your thoughts and opinions are.

Personally I kinda like it but only thing that dislike is the S symbol to me seems too big ( and sorry if its like this in the comics but I am not a comic reader )

Well they did say it was going to be a more darker superman than the others ( even though I think superman returns had some dark moments )

Eh... the whole suit kinda looks awkward and his face/hair look off.
Granted, it's not the best picture in the world but it still doesn't really look that great.

Then again, I don't really like Superman to begin with so it doesn't make much difference to me >.>

I have faith that Zack Snyder knows what he's doing with this one. He's got a pretty solid cast, and I think he's a pretty solid director. I think it'll turn out just fine.

This. Anyone who doubts this should watch the Watchmen. When he's directing other people's screenplays, he's great, and his stylistic lighting style will suit Superman I think, in particular to help hide the CGI.

Basically, you can't judge this film until you've seen the whole film - nothing else will give a picture. Rather like Sucker Punch and Watchmen, in fact.

The shot is a little too vague for me to give a definite opinion, but I'm liking what I'm seeing.

I just hope it doesn't go too stylized like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow or The Spirit.

Im just hoping this film is as dark as heard some people say I want it to be like Superman returns were they beat the crap out of him when he got stabbed with kryptonite.

i hope this isnt really all that dark. some heros dont need to be emo. and he does look the part but its too early to say, this may just be a photoshoot so they can see how it will look.

also, it looks 10x better than the new spider-man...UGH!!!!

The emblem look abit too big and the S does look weird (not the right font compare to the comic?) althought that could be just the angle of the shot taken. Other than that I'm fine with it.

I think he looks powerful and badass. Something that was never accomplished in the previous films. I like it.

That's a pretty loose definition of "red and blue" and hooray it's got the same colour palette as Snyder's last 3 films. I guess the actor looks pretty good he has a good build I guess but I'm not looking forward to a murky as hell teal and dark blue festival especially with Superman

Too true. That is the only way to portray Superman and still have him feeling like Superman.
