anyway, if a person who didnt like the last TES games gave skyrim a 9.5 out of 10, then we all know what we're in for, my friends.
People who didn't like the first Dragon Age liked Dragon Age 2. People who didn't like the original Xcom games like XCOM the fps.
Your point being? Either way, Skyrim will be awesome.
And you're taking this from (a) A person who doesn't like the last two elder scrolls liking this and (b) the hype, bot things Dragon Age 2 had.
And also from my experience with Oblivion, obviously -.-
I lumped that under the hype.
Dude, should I make a fucking Venn diagram for you or something?
Anyway, if I LOVED the previous game and so far I'm HYPED because of the footage that I saw of it and somebody who HATED the previous game LOVED Skyrim, that probably means Skyrim is gonna be EPIC. I still don't get your point. Are you trying to say Skyrim ISN'T gonna be good or something? I understand the usual cynicism of every other person on the internet, but it's SKYRIM we're dealing with here. FFS it's gonna be EPIC, now leave me alone.
Can you use any arguments that couldn't be leveled against Dragon Age 2?

The game could suck - it wasn't the absolute sure thing gonna be awesome game this year, Uncharted 3 was.
1-your spelling sucks
2-TES are not DA
3-everyone has different oppinions

NOW PLEASE, LEAVE ME ALONE.

Good find and solid review! I'm actually getting psyched for Skyrim again :)

The only soul crushingly bad part of this review was the point that you have to sell your loot at specific vendors. This sounds like a horrendous idea on paper. I really don't want to have to walk around for 10 minutes in a city just to unload goods and go back to having fun.
I think they're experimenting with a touch more realism this time around. I always found it a little disturbing that the little old lady selling bread would buy 15 battleaxes off me...
What? That is the best part. I mean if you are going for realism why would a blacksmith buy a sword off you? He already has as many as he wants and he can make more and sell them whenever he wants, He might buy ore off you but not a sword. So what are they going to do? Add a pawn shop in every town? Or maybe you should be able to open your own second hand shop, pay someone to run it for you and keep its inventory filled with the loot you find.

What on earth are you own about man? TES is created by a studio who has a long history of making greate RPGs, with one of their best IPs, and who have a history of listening to their fans not to the people who hate their games*.

*I've never understood that, when a company makes a games and the collect feedback from people who didn't like it or didn't play it about why not rather than asking the poeple who did like it why they did. You just end up making a game that nobody wants because you cut out the parts people did like and the people who didn't like it in the first place still wont.

And once again, I could replace the words The Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age and it would still fit for a statement made at the start of this year.

Skyri could still suck, remember that.

Well it is clear we are not going to reach agreement on this, but I'll give one last argument which is hard to counger

Bioware is owned by EA, So it is very possible that ME3 or anything else they make is going to have EA's dirty paw prints all over it. I'm pretty sure that is was happend to DA2. Feels like someone said make it for a little as possible, re use the engine, re use almost all the character frames for NPCS, and only creat a limited number of dugeons and locations. Oh and do something about the fighting because peopled complained that it was too complicated last time. However, we aren't made of money so don't spend a lot of time on it. Also, we have more important projects so keep you B-string on it.

Bethesda (as of yet) is not owned by EA, so there is hope.

Also, no offense to DA fans, but DA was not on the same level as TES or Fallout 3. DA was a ok ACTION/rpg with DA2 being a *ACTION*/<font size=1>rpg

TES has so far is a <font size=5>***RPG***/<font size=1>action

To be honest, the revieuw makes me want to play Skyrim even more.

I am now imagining something like this:

A big muscular lightly armored Nord paving his way to the top of a snowy mountain. Reaching the top he sees a ruined temple where the ancestors of his race prayed to the dragon gods. He stumbles across the ruins and reads a word in the draconian language but it has no power...and there a mighty dragon flies towards the mountain top!

The Nord steps out of the ruins onto the clear white snow, Putting his arrow on his bow and pulling it back, waiting for the right moment to let the arrow fly into the icy winds of Skyrim. The Dragon approaches and opens its jaws to unleash a tormenting volley of fire upon the Nord, but the brave warrior sees this coming and let his arrow fly into the leathery skin of the dragon's belly and ducks away to avoid the dragon's breath.

He readies his enchanted battleaxe and focusses on his left hand to create a ball of lightning. Running from behind cover to the dragon who flew over him, he cries shouts of war and unleashes terrible bolts of lightning from his fingertips to bring hurt upon the magnificent destroyer.

The dragon turns around and flies toward the Nord, but he stands bravely, on that very mountain top, while a blizzard starts surrounding the two combatants. The fierce blizzard is obscuring the sights of the figheters and the dragon decides to land on the mountain. With a heavy pound it lands and then the Nord decides to strike with his battleaxe.

From behind a rock he comes, running as fast as he can, to the back of the dragon, climbing up on his tail, onto its back and to the neck. He hacks away at the head of the dragon and he uses the momentum the dragon gives when it quickly raises it head to shake the warrior off. The warrior 5 feet in the air came crashing down on the skull of the dragon, his battleaxe carving bloody glory into the dragon's skull.

That idea reminds me somewhat of Fable 3. And perhaps a blacksmith would buy a sword to improve/upgrade it, reselling it at a profit. Or buy it for dirt cheap from you, selling it to someone else for a decent price.

It's a 300 hour RPG, and people trust reviews where the reviewer has played it for a couple of days or so, maybe 20 hours!

Some gamers are so gullible! How long did it take for the truth of the Oblivion cookie-cutter graphics, the ridiculous leveling meaning bandits in 10,000 Glass armour demanding 100 gold, the half dozen voice actors for 100's of NPC's and the 30 minute OST to listen to for 100 hours to come out?! A month? That's why I will wait. It has stood me in good stead in 30 years of gaming!
