Looks good as long as all that fun stuff Link is doing is stuff you can do wherever you feel like it and not strictly scripted...

Pretty. I'll be curious to see what Zelda does with what appears to be more of a sandbox-y world. I'd hardly object to the occasional wander being rewarded with Skyrim-style vistas, but as ffronw says, they need to provide evidence that it's a world full of things to do.

I'm expecting some of the more faithful Zelda fans to start pitching a fit about some of the changes they're making. The game is turning more into a mishmash of Zelda, Dark Souls, Shadow of the Colossus, and Far Cry. I for one welcome the changes.

I'll get it no doubt. Looks to be the best Zelda since the N64. Long time to wait for a worthy successor to Ocarina of Time. I think it will allow Nintendo to print money.

The only thing I wish is that there is a multiplayer hub and user generated shrines in the NX verision that would make me instabuy the NX. Have the Hub for user generated shrines(dungeons) be on a flying castle http://i.imgur.com/M6m70Me.gifv

Basically if Nintendo took inspiration from Skyrim they need to really embrace user generated content and a shrine creation tool. Have the flying castle be a village of miis where you can view their dungeons/comments. Shrines have rating system, social integration etc and you need to complete your own shrine before being able to upload it. When in game accessing the MiiFlyingCastle you could choose to see mii's with the newest shrines, your friend's shrines or top rated shrines. With the shrine building tool to be really complex taking hours for a user to create their own shrine. Obviously there would need to be a defined size of the shrines.
If a user generates loads of top rated shrines and becomes big in the community Nintendo contacts them about them creating a dungeon for the player base and Nintendo themselves in collaboration with these users release a new dungeon accessible from the hub each week, while also having their own dungeons or dungeons released by other devs or personalities.

Honestly that's the type of thing I'm hoping for with games on the NX, I'm just not sure the Wii U has enough power to support user generated content beyond something small like SMM.

Otherwise as far the game itself looks great even on the Wii U so I will probably purchase it there unless Spla2oon is also a launch title for NX. The interactions with the environment are the main thing I like about the outer-world and the few shrines I saw had varying difficulty. We've still not seen anything from the actual dungeons - which will probably be massive.
there is going to be some amazing gifs and videos once this comes out - http://imgur.com/a/an5z3

That's how people felt about both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword and neither of those turned out to be on the same level (though Twilight was quite good) so I guess only time will tell. I will admit this is the first time I have been excited about Zelda in a long time.

There was a cube version of Twighlight I should have tried. The Wii version left me cold. This time, you can play on the tablet which will be more similar to a normal gaming experience.

It appears to be playing in the future of Windwaker, seeing how you could see a Korok in the gameplay demo on the floor. Exciting. Windwaker is the best Zelda we ever had.
Is that not the repaired bridge of eldin from Twilight princess though?
I'm sure it was supposed to invoke TP memories with that, but if it was the same bridge, didn't it look too.. perfect? I mean, there was a piece missing that was just jammed back in, you'd see some signs of repairs, I'd think.

The existence of Koroks, though, seems to speak a very clear language, I think. This seems to be the kingdom buried under the sea.

No, there was a demo at E3 and at the Nintendo store in NYC... sadly, not on the eShop.

Yeah, I figured that out...just hoping now that the rumours that somebody copied it are true
