I do it because it annoys people. There's always at least 5 people going "UR STUPID" after you do it, which is equally as pointless as the "FIRST!" comments

Why do people create topics with no discussion value? I know this sounds rude but the question doesn't warrant a thread created for it.

Except, threads are supposed to promote discussion.... says so in the guidelines of these here forums. The answer to your question is simple: Because they are stupid and like to think they are being funny/clever by being the first one to post. However you don't see that much around here because those people get lifelong bans.
