Thanks you very much for the help guys and/or gals. As long as I don't experience any crucial or annoying bugs I'm not patching.

Almost On the Topic:
I'm having trouble with the carrying-capacity of my followers, at some point they refuse carrying anything for me. Did somebody has that problem, too?

[Edit]

Edit: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, just saw it. I'm too late, the game patched itself already...
Dear world, I hate you so much...

And this is of course is part of the reason why I've been waiting till Christmas to get it.

The only things I've noticed are that my vertical sensitivity has gone from brisk but manageable, to something around the land speed record and I my performance tanks on Ultra and High, which isn't due to my PC as I was able to play at a reasonable FPS on Ultra in 1.1.

Sentence of wise advice: Don't ever, EVER download Bethesda mods until you are 150% sure that it won't cock up your game. Just sayin.

I've made a thread earlier warning people not to download the patch. I haven't downloaded it yet myself, but I'm going to avoid it until Bethesda deals with the issue.
Mine got downloaded automatically. Is there any way I can stop it?

OT: I don't have those problems OP, however there whas one Michael Jackson moonflying Dragons, a lake that was missing part of it's water, and ... actually that's it so far. Nothing that will stop me from enjoying the game thought.

Now THAT was just horrible. My only help was the radar and 2 other NPC's firing arrows madly into the air.

xbox 360 here, and the only thing the patch seems to have done for me is make the load times a bit shorter, but that could be my imagination. I don't time them or anything...

/shrugs
Same here. Load times are slightly shorter. Instead of 3 sips of beer it's now 2.5 sips of beer which is a shame because you can't stop midsip so it's still 3 sips of beer.

For the rest, I never had any problems, except some thieves guild 'oddjobs' not registering me planting item C in container B so NPC A get's sued for crime D which PC Y comitted. And that was pre-patch.
I already nearly immediatly died when under attack with frost (the slowing down and frost spike magic is murder. Takes up 50-60% of my hp bar away in 1 hit. I have 330 hp. Le que?) but with fire I seem to not even get my fur scorched =/

Oh Skyrim you so funny..

since the update this morning my skyrim wont even start it just dies[/quote]

KK, i found a solution, check out my original post. Try doing the same for when skyrim wont even start, and if this doesnt wok immediately go into offline mode. Works like a charm.
Of course, now we might face other bugs: not absorbing dragon souls, no elemental weaknesses.... but at least we get to play the game!
Hope this works for all of you.

You can hardly call that FIXED!!!

That's almost an insulting euphemism.

Anyway, any suggestions how to get the previous version back?

I don't mind reinstalling the whole game, I just don't know where to find the good "first day patch" while avoiding the blasphemous 1.2 thing.

Oh Steam, I really hate you for patching against my own will. You soul shall burn in Oblivion for all eternity...

Give me my bookshelf back, and my Thane title in Riften...

so guys, just found this:

http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Skyrim-Patch-1-2-Rollback-Fix.shtml

its the original day one patch files that got replaced.
replacing these in your game directory will successfully roll you back to version 1.1
:)

Last night was the first time I ever willfully avoided downloading a patch. I'm not touching it until I start hearing that it's been fixed.

Didn't really work (for me), couldn't close books afterwards... Although it said it was back to Version 1.1.xxx
