Nah you ain't only one and it's not paranoid considering the world we live in where the kindness of america author shot himself for the publicity.
The whole deal with 4chan is especially suspicious (and people keep starting threads there too faster then can be deleted...and only 1 benefiting from this is the womentropes creator for whom all this puerile sexist rage is acting like wind for her metaphorical sails, speeding her campaign along and inviting counter reactions such as the guy i quoted above. It's all way too convenient and i have a hard time believing it's people hating her that's repeatedly giving her publicity).

Why is this sexist? Since the early days of the internet there have been flash games of beating up famous people who are male (George Bush, Saddam, Bin Laden, and lesser known like Amazing Atheist and Thunderf00t) but it suddenly becomes a issue when the subject is a woman?

Instead... isn't it sexist to take exception to when it is a woman, but not when it is a man, even The democratically elected President of the United States. Look on newgrounds, search under "games" for "Bush" and "Obama" and you'll find games where these people who are under REAL threat of being killed are shown being beaten.

I'm not saying two wrong make a right, I am saying where was the great outrage when there was a flash video of George Bush being beaten up? Why was there not a mention that this latest example follows a trend of trolls to show famous men being beaten up. I'll tell you, the worst violent games against male celebrities have been removed from newgrounds and this one of Anita Sarkeesian removed in record time. For copyright and efficiency purposes, they do NOT vet every item that is uploaded.

The idea that this has only ever happened to this woman because she is a woman, it TOTALLY ignorant.

Sorry, nope. Don't buy it. This sort of behavior is unacceptable, and no amount of whining about how the internet is always like that will change it. I can't do much, but maybe if enough of us make this kind of idiotic bullshit counter-productive less of it will happen. Certainly we're not going to talk them out of it rationally.

Well, my SAN is damaged enough that further checking is uneccessary, seeing as furry softcore isn't terribly harrowing for me. I skipped out on the whole tentacle thing though.

Because this woman made more money than some of us do in a year of hard back-breaking work or two (or to the point, she made more money to diss the games than many of the people involved in making the game do) to do something that many of us could do for free with a spare weekend or two and cheap computer equipment.

Then add onto it that she is biased as fuck all, that the world gains nothing from her doing this and seems to be a generally unlikable person as a whole, and you get a lot of rage.

And there we have it: envy. Why should she have money when we don't? The fact is though, most of the people spouting this rage could not and have not done exactly that with a free weekend and some cheap equipment. (Hint: the people who make the videos that appear on The Escapist get paid for it!)

Well, I was reading the SA thread, saw the link, asked myself "what's the worst thing that could happen?" clicked, and immediately regretted that decision. Then I googled this guy's username (bendilin). He's apparently pretty known (also as losttrap) for being completely insane.
