Alright, I figured while people are punching and breaking bottles over each other's heads while discussing PS4, Xbone, the future or whatever, we can have a fun thread that moves away from all that.

So tell me, have you ever played flash games? Any particular ones that you really like? What genre do you usually play? etc.

For me, the most memorable flash game I've ever played would have to be Sonny 1/2. That game is just excellent to me, some of the most fun I've had with flash games. The gameplay is fast and smooth, there are different builds to try, challenges to beat, and a great story to attach it all together. For a flash game, it's pretty lengthy, specially if you play it on a hard difficulty. I've played it over and over again with different build combos and equipment, and it's been fun every time. The second game is way longer and meatier, and it immerses you a lot more than Sonny 1. It's definitely how a sequel should be done.

Hard to find gameplay videos of this, but that'll do I guess. You can find the game just by googling it, because I'm not sure if I can post a direct link. Definitely recommend it, very fun.

Your turn dudes/dudettes!

I used to play a lot of flash games, but eventually I just got really sick of them. It's been about two years since that happened and my opinion on flash games has barely improved since then. That said, I still find the Gemcraft games fun, especially Labyrinth, even though I've never bothered finishing any of them.

Personally, (Probably due to nostalgia) I like shock defense. It was the very first tower defense, AND flash game (or equivalent) I ever played. Unless Doom and quake were flash games...

Probably all the old Homestarrunner.com joke flash games. Plus, who could forget Trogdor the Burninator!

I love the Sonny games! It's too bad we're not likely to ever see the third installment. :(

I used to play a ton of flash games back when I was in middle/early high school. I used sites like Miniclip but did play some of Cartoon Network's games back when it was still really good. however, aside from Sonny 1 and 2, the only flash game I really remember playing was Canyon Defense on Miniclip. If I were to take the time to search the various sites I could probably tell you more of them, but I'd rather not have my browser freeze up on my a dozen times minimum(and flash attempt to do so dozens more) while doing so nor get distracted for hours playing those games while looking though them.

Well Krin said that Sonny 3 is on his project list, but God knows when that'll happen, haha.

Precisely my point.

I really liked the Rebuild series. Especially with the higher difficulties where it's harder to get a good lead going.

I used to really adore flash games, I still try them out from time to time, mainly tower-defenses.

But The Company Of Myself is my favorite flash of all time. It's got a great story, absolutely beautiful music, fun puzzles, and it's the only flash game to make me cry.
10% because it has a legitimately sad ending, 90% because I'm just a big babby.
Seriously though, I love that flash to death.

Still trawlin Kongegate every other day for new games, as well as checking on Badge Hunter for any new badge games.

Parasite Strike is one of the best I've played, even to this day.

I use to adore flash games. I would play them all the time, and I sure as hell was a badge whore on Kongregate. (I'm level 63 on the site) But, lately, there are only one or two gems that slip by. TD games are all too common, the games can get buggy as hell, and good god so many SOLDAT clones. Flash gaming lost its charm.

I've played quite a lot of Flash Games, there's a lot of bad out there, but if you look hard enough you can uncover some real gems.

Desktop dungeons has been my go-to browser game for a while now. It's a mix of puzzle and RPG: You're a level 1 dude in a dungeon and your goal is to kill the level 10 boss who is also somewhere in the dungeon. To do this you kill less powerful monsters and then heal by revealing new tiles of the map. The point of this is to manage your health, level, potions, etc. so that once you have nothing left to kill but the boss you're as strong as possible. There's a lot more elements that make it a lot more complex like choosing different races and classes and worshipping gods, but that's the basics. I can attest it's highly addictive and can keep you occupied for aeons thanks to challenge maps and unlocks.

Oh God, I just remembered that. The ending was stunning.

OT: Road of the Dead is great fun: You drive down a highway to escape the military and zombies, running over several in the process. No other game has quite given me that feeling of bailing out of a place and running for my life. Only problem is it's a resource-intensive game, so no playing on high unless you have a decent graphics card.

It has been a while since I had last played a Flash game. The last game I played was Fix It Felix Jr from the Wreck-It Ralph website which was a dissapointment since it didn't had the audio from the trailer ("I gonna wreck it!").
I used to played them alot back in High School back in the 56k modern era and played the Flash games during dinnter time at the library. If I remember correctly I think the site were used was Shockwave or something like that. One of my favourite game was Tailgunner which was sort of like that retro tank game where it's just green lines and black screen and as the title of the game, you were the tailgunner guning down emenies fighters.
