"Calliope, form up to protect the Dragonfly-"
"Roger roger Control. Circles, guys, fly in circles around the Dragonfly. We fly in a tilted circle following the ship infront of us, weapons outward. Randomly we'll change direction and the tilt angle, that'll be our patrol."
"Copy Fayden, we're following you, Calliope."
"Copy Pewgen, we're following you, Fayden."
"Copy Calliope, we're following Fayden shortly. Beeline for the Dragonfly, boosters at 90%, Thrust to full. Quarree, LZ is hot, ready for Bandits. "
"At last, action! Nothing sadder than a safety rusted shut." remarked Quarree, putting his foot onto a deadman's pedal on the floor and hands onto a targeting frame encircling his shoulders.
"You're a fool. There's plenty sadder." said Erri over the radio.
The engines of the three corvettes glowed with blinding light as they shot towards their destination.
"Roger that Venture," Dragonfly repiled, "All craft stand clear of our bow."
Ahead of the Venture the Frigates opened fire on their assigned target, the Battle Bear's cannon fire impacting with the shields that suddenly flashed to life around the left outline, two torpedoes leaping from the frigate and streaking towards their target,
Lucy frowned, then fired her own cannon at the other ship, unsurprisingly, it had little effect
Then the Dragonfly fired, a blinding beam of energy connected the frigate to it's target, the shields blazing brightly for a few seconds before collapsing, then the weapon tore into the hull, neatly slicing the flack cannons from the hull with a surgeon's precision.
The two cruisers turned away from each other, the undamaged Herald turned to face it's attackers as four torpedoes slid from it's bow tubes, streaking towards the Warden on tiny pillars of fire.
The other ship seemed uncertain, half-turning away before suddenly turning back and accelerating, firing it's own torpedoes at the dying Battleship as it's moved rapidly closer.

Inside Alpha One, Tom suddenly heard the warning shriek as the hostile ship's flack cannons turned into their direction, their duel barrels seemingly pointed straight at his heart.
"Alpha team, they have you in their sights," Lucy warned, "take evasive action. now!"
"Alpha squad, pull up! Get out of their range, we're retreating until those cannons are down." With that Tom pulled hard on his controls and his craft rocketed upwards. They were fortunate to be on the edge of the cannon's range so they had a good change of making it out. He looked at the other ship.
"Alphas the other frigate's flak cannons are down, regroup above the other frigate. Weapons officers, prepare for a bombing run." Tom accelerated his craft to get out of range and began moving towards the wounded enemy ship.
Devon's eyes widened as the second cruiser fired flak at the attacking bombers. He went on his comm with other Terras, giving new orders. "Terras, guide Alpha squadron behind the flakless frigate, so they wont be able to hit em!"
Devon then contacted Captain Davidson. "Control, can you get some firepower on these other falk cannons? We're getting eaten up out here!"
Tom watched the torpedoes streak away as he approached the frigate. Not his concern, the others would deal with those.
"Alphas, ready? Each of you is to take a torpedo tube, I'll follow behind and disable any that remain. Don't bother with the engines, we can let this one go after we've defanged it."
The wing of bombers approached from the side of the frigate. The two outermost bombers dropped their payload before peeling off, then the next two. Tom followed behind, scanning to see if any of the weapons were still intact.
"Calliope, Sabre, I want those torpedo's stopped. I am designating them number one priority targets!"
Freddie's head snapped to the right as his Objectives monitor brighted on that side.
"Fayden Breakaway, I'm on those torpedoes, Captain."
"Roger Fayden, we'll stay here to cover the Dragonfly. Have Sabre cover your six."
The Fayden broke away from the concentric pattern of the Calliope formation, diving away to converge on the torpedo.
"C'mnnn..."
Fred shoved the throttle as high as it would go, holding the yellow trigger of the cyclic boosters, as the ship rolled and pulled hard up to make a tight turn at over mach 3.
As the corvette made the turn, Erri lined up the turrets for a Lead Follow.
"Sight! Mark-"
"Fire!"
"Seeker to Venture, Priority alert! Hostile boarding craft approaching from below! I say again, Hostile boarding craft inbound on your location!"
Lucy reacted with the speed only an AI could command, instantly firing the point defenses at the eight large craft streaking towards their vulnerable underside, her defenses swatting a single transport from space and turning it into am artificial comet.
the other seven survived however, and slammed into the hull with enough force to ensure their cutting implements could gain purchase on the hull plate, a few seconds later, they discharged their deadly cargo into the cruiser's interior.
"We've been boarded," Lucy announced, as the warning klaxon sounded again, "seven Infiltrator teams detected disembarking from their ships before i lost tack of them, I'm sending combat teams to engineering, flight deck Ops, and here, but I'm not sure who'll get there first."

Leaving the venture to deal with this new problem, The two frigates focused their fire on the undamaged cruiser, even as their corvette allies destroyed the torpedoes inbound on the Covenant ship.
The Battle Bear's first set of torpedoes impacted with the hull of the damaged ship just as the bombers made their run, the combined fire power tearing the ship apart in a massive explosion.
"That's a confirmed capital ship kill." Lucy announced, "At least three remain, two undetected thus far, probably a carrier and an escort. Focus your fire on the remaining contact, we'll deal with the others when we find them."
The Dragonfly continued to show it's worth, tearing deep wounds into the other cruiser once Battle-bear destroyed it's shields.
"Dragonfly to venture, hostile Flack cannons destroyed, we are repositioning for a kill shot, standby."
But the remaining cruiser wouldn't go down so easily, turning with the smaller ship and firing it's torpedoes, forcing the frigate to beak off to avoid them.

On the Venture's bridge, the comm crackled, and a video link appeared on the main screen, showing what looked like a Sisterhood Knight with a golden hood worn over her helmet.
"Venture this is Cleric-Captain Jasmine, Commander of the Warden, lower your shields and standby for counter-boarding action. we can evacuate my ship and protect yours in one move, if you trust me enough, that is."
The Venture has been boarded, hostiles are spreading throughout the ship, they need to be dealt with and the sisterhood has offered a solution, but it will leave you vulnerable for a short time.
If you accept their aid the Venture will be unable to move or raise shields for a short time, but your interior defenses will be vastly improved. No-one knows ship-to-ship combat better than a Sisterhood Knight.
Surgically enhanced human zealots, and the cannon fodder of the Void-Fleets. Named due to their aptitude at stealth and their ability to bypass defenses. Often operate in Hunter-pairs, If you see one, you can be certain there's another you can't.

All ex-Alliance marines, so they know how to fight and defend a ship, where they are let down is their equipment, which is sub-standard but it can be upgraded.
Equipment:

Standard Issue 9mm pistol. (Note: all players and crew are assumed to have one of these weapons.)
Yes, they have to return to restock their secondary weapons, which i should clarify, are not bombs in the traditional scene, as free fall ordinance doesn't work so well in zero gravity, think of them as unguided missiles.
"Alpha wing, return to the Venture to resupply. Pilots, guard your ships, we've been boarded by saboteurs."
The bombers glided back towards the ship, docking in one of the hangers. The weapons officers immediately began the process of restocking their ordinance, a process slowed somewhat by the fact the pilots were forced to stand guard. Tom and another pilot took up positions beside the entrance to the hanger whilst the others stood protectively over their vessels.
that I have mostly lost inspiration and interest, so I probably and by probably I mean absolutely won't be returning to this RP. Fun and awesome, but lost interest... :/
